I know you're using the deus now. But did you ever find out why the equinox would show the 98 signal that was all the way to China? Or a fix for it? Thanks keep up the great videos.
I haven’t figured out why it does that. It’s either tiny deep iron that sounds like a quarter, or a quarter that sounds like deep iron. It can be very frustrating to deal with. And it looks like it happens to quite a few people that have the 900. I’m guessing Minelab would have to do a software update to resolve it.
@MontereyMagnetMan - My Manticore sometimes does that too. Now I know and don't dig more than 2 or 3 scoops. The only time I went berserk & kept digging, I found a 4" copper domed pipe cap at almost 2 feet. I hope Minelab releases software updates to reduce the true falses where these 98's suddenly disappear.
