It was a complete shock to me I have experienced this before though with narcissists because sometimes what they do makes absolutey no sense ? So I guess there is a lot of self centerness in alot of the country .And this is going to bring alot of pain until people awaken to social awarness as the Masters said.
Well... the issue is that these things (mainstream media and ordinary consciousness) easily hook into our being because of the nature of our lower being - it is the subconscient in us which is not very individualised btw - which gets pulled and compelled - and the whole point of Yoga is to make the suconscious and unconscious (seemingly) parts more conscious.
