Here’s the real issue….too many “Christian” “friends” are incapable of empathetically expressing any type of support for a grieving widow and therefore I’ve grown accustomed to keeping my words to myself and share them only in private prayer. I’ve heard, “Everyone is hurting,” way too many times and it seems that superficial “Christians” are the only type warming the church chairs. The compassionate care of suffering souls which is directed at James 1:27 is NOT fully discerned until you’ve experienced the “tribulation” as a widow or orphan. Does your church ever discussed such a ministry as a local community need? I’ve visited countless churches in the past five years; none of which have expressed any interest in a James 1:27 ministry. WWJD indeed! No, thank you for the public invitation to (once again) bare my grieving heart. I’d rather hurt at my current status rather than risk the greater probability that, once publicly exposed, my heart will certainly be further ignored and damaged. God knows who and what I need and when he decides to alleviate my suffering, I’ll be blessed. Until then, I’ll pray for the chair-warmers.
