Well done. Most of technicians not understand how variable displacement compressor works. Most of them believe this is a bad types of compressors because the high pressure not jumps up and low one not goes down.

AC Pro will be canvassing TH-cam right now to have this removed 🤣🤣🤣
Awesome demonstration, starkly illustrates the point you have been trying to impress for some time 👍

It is really hard to diagnose low refrigerant charge on these variable compressor unless it is really hot outside and so the system would not cool and abnormal pressure would be there. Or use a recovery machine and check how much was there.
What was the customer complain on this car? No cooling during day and cold at night?

It was an a collision condenser got replaced
With all these new cars part of your diagnosis is to first confirm by recovering all the refrigerant incorrectly weighing in the factory specified weight only and then performed the rest of your diagnosis
No guessing is allowed or tolerated
And yes you are correct unless it’s a very hot day with a nice sun load on the vehicle then it makes it easier to diagnose the Low refrigerant charge.

I've run into issues if I have an app installed on 2 devices, say a phone, and a tablet, and both are ON and within BT proximity/range, the Bluetooth device can't figure out which device to connect to.
You sound like me when I'm trying to get an app or program to function and it's fighting me, I'm poking away at the screen or keyboard yelling, "I ain't pushing these GD buttons for exercise, fuk'n do something, damit!!!!" :O)

How do you metered the refrigerant as a vapour?

      Very carefully small increments.
1 ounce at a time between resting periods.
Keeping the pressure low while the vehicle is running.

These hvac systems are designed and tested by engineer s that get paid lots of money. Companies pour lots of money into fine tunning these systems. They use tools beyond even what this channel uses.
So for someone with a can of refrigerant and a pressure gauge to think they can do better??? Even worse a diy!!!!!
Yes engineering does fail. Bit its more likely to be a bolt or a bracket that they quickly tossed together.

      100% exactly 😎👍
95% of Automotive‘s experience and knowledge of air conditioning was knowledge that was passed down by word of mouth from a time when you only needed to know the basics. When the air conditioning compressors were nearly indestructible 30 pound plus large slow rotating iron compressors
You can make a comparison of knowledge level of mechanics in air conditioning when Henry Ford released the first model A where are you adjusted the carburetor with a lever with your hand attached to a metering device for fuel and you started a car with a crank on the engine by hand and every morning you lubricated your open exposed valve train rockers and pushrods with a handheld oil can
Now flash forward 100+ years in our air-conditioning systems are Teslas with super computers and sensors humidity sensors barometric sensors temperature sensors and variable displacement compressors with electronically controlled expansion valves on top of that it’s a heat pump system.
And a technician still has a mindset and knowledge level holding a crank to turn over an engine in his hand in an oil can in his other hand and that’s his only tools for knowledge
