This is one of those bands that are better live. All incredible musicians. Jimmy Page saw them in Tokoyo in 2016 and was so blown away by Akane on drums that he had to meet her for a photo op after the show.
As a LOVEBITES fan I absolutely love Band Maid both of these bands are the absolute best in their respective genres (LOVEBITES-metal) & (band maid- hard rock) and both bands never disappoint especially live while both have incredible MV’s their live performances are on another level, so for this band ANYTHING live by them is a recommendation like “Freedom” “Domination” “ONSET” “Play” to name a few.

Their "move forward" message in their lyrics continues full-blast in their song "Domination". That band performs way better on stage in front of live audiences than it does recording inside studios. Fortunately, on Band-Maid's TH-cam channel, there is an official live video of the maids performing "Domination" in front of an audience last year. Amazing video. I highly recommend it. It comes with English sub-titles, too.

That's exactly how I came across them, just over 2 yrs ago. From watching Yoyoka drum performances obviously here on You Tube. Kept getting a recommendation to check out Thrill. Blew it off 3-4 time for about a week or so. I finally gave in out of curiosity, glad I did !

In 2016, Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin caught a performance of Band-Maid in Tokyo and asked for a photo-op with their drummer, Akane Hirose. Reportedly he told her that she was like a reincarnation of John Bonham. For those who don't know, BAND-MAID played in the Classic Rock Awards 2016 and received the Japan Next Generation prize. First heard this band March 2021. They've become my favourite band next to Led Zeppelin. Masters of composition, transitions and classic rock riffs. I highly recommend you react to a live video. Domination live from the 2020 Shibuya concert would be a good start. Also, Freedom from the same concert and Real Existence live from 2018 are good choices as well. Too many more to list. If you would have told me in February that my all time second favourite band would consist of 5 Japanese girls dressed as maids I would have questioned your sanity......the world we live in.

I have always thought that if these Ladies were dressed in the normal clothes and you told me MISA, Akane, Miku and Saiki are in a hard rock band I'd say ok I can see that, but Kanami. If I saw her for the first time and you told me she was a guitar genius with face melting solos I don't think I could believe it.
I really enjoyed your reaction. Highly recommend that you next listen to Domination (official live) to see how they energize a live audience in The Before Times, and No God (live stream) to see her far they have progressed musically. There are many other great songs and videos, but those should be your next two reactions.
I will certainly try, I can tell you right now - we have some nightmare copyright blocks and refusal to even check a dispute - they reject everything right away - Those are - Epica - NIGHTWISH - LOVE BITES and BANDMAID. Thank you for reaction BAND MAID. BAND MAID is a 5-member girls rock band. They are hard rock band and are now considered by fans to be one of the best hard rock bands in the world. They usually perform 23 songs and 2 hours live. They were formed in Japan in 2013 by side guitarist Miku Kobato. Kobato had experience working at a maid cafe in Akihabara Tokyo and had the idea of playing cool songs with a maid costume. That's why the band was named Band-Maid. "Thrill" was their first music video in 2014, played 2 million times in two weeks and saved them from breaking up. At that time they were just around 19-22 years old. And then they have been doing LIVE overseas and increasing their fans. Their "move forward" message in their lyrics continues full-blast in their song "Domination". That band performs way better on stage in front of live audiences than it does recording inside studios. Fortunately, on Band-Maid's TH-cam channel, there is an official live video of the maids performing "Domination" in front of an audience last year. Amazing video. I highly recommend it. It comes with English sub-titles, too.
I was pleasantly surprised to see anyone react to them. I found them by following Yoyoka the little drummer girl from Japan. Check her out she was voted into the top 500 drummers of all time. She's 11
That's exactly how I came across them, just over 2 yrs ago. From watching Yoyoka drum performances obviously here on You Tube. Kept getting a recommendation to check out Thrill. Blew it off 3-4 time for about a week or so. I finally gave in out of curiosity, glad I did !

In 2016, Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin caught a performance of Band-Maid in Tokyo and asked for a photo-op with their drummer, Akane Hirose. Reportedly he told her that she was like a reincarnation of John Bonham.
For those who don't know, BAND-MAID played in the Classic Rock Awards 2016 and received the Japan Next Generation prize. After the show Jimmy Page, asked Akane for a photo.

First heard this band March 2021. They've become my favourite band next to Led Zeppelin. Masters of composition, transitions and classic rock riffs. I highly recommend you react to a live video. Domination live from the 2020 Shibuya concert would be a good start. Also, Freedom from the same concert and Real Existence live from 2018 are good choices as well. Too many more to list. If you would have told me in February that my all time second favourite band would consist of 5 Japanese girls dressed as maids I would have questioned your sanity......the world we live in.

I really enjoyed your reaction. Highly recommend that you next listen to Domination (official live) to see how they energize a live audience in The Before Times, and No God (live stream) to see her far they have progressed musically. There are many other great songs and videos, but those should be your next two reactions.
I will certainly try, I can tell you right now - we have some nightmare copyright blocks and refusal to even check a dispute - they reject everything right away - Those are - Epica - NIGHTWISH - LOVE BITES and BANDMAID.
