The less known dishes of the philippines. They remind me of dishes found in malaysia and southern thailand.

Many Southern Thais are actually ethnic Malays, even though many of them do not speak the Malay language anymore and many have been brainwashed to identify with the label 'Thai Muslim'. In Southern Philippines, many ethnic groups are Malayised. The Tausugs, Maranaos, and Maguindanaons' cuisine, literature, and attire all reflect Malay influences. Some of them also have Malay ancestors.
It’s sad that that are not promoted more. I’m kind of bored of the basic dishes the Philippines is known for. We have so many islands, so many types of noodle dishes, curries(stews), grilled foods, vegetable dishes yet no one knows about them. It also is the reason people think Filipino food is lacking.
People know that the well known dishes sell well and the people who actually know how to cook these wonderful dishes don’t really promote them.
@@Prinren one of the reason why southern Philippines cuisine is not that popular in the entire country is because most of the muslim food in southern Philippines are too spicy for the northern filipinos to handle.
@@MalaysianTropikfusion True, I'm Tausug, but I have great-greatgrandparents from Indonesia and Malaysia and some of my relatives are from Sabah, Malaysia. I think most Tausugs are more mixed with Malays than Filipinos themselves.

Beef kulma favorite ko. Meron nagtitinda nyan karenderia malapit lang sa greenwich kcc mall, masarap magluto at mura masyado kaso wala na sila doon.
