@@scran7346I do like high scoring games it's just that in this game there were many exciting moments. I don't think the score truly reflects the actual game.
Two very strong defences with Glasgows performance largely resembling Edinburghs last week with very little aggression or execution throughout. Glasgow were actually penalised this week which allowed Edinburgh footholds into the game and were deserved winners but the Edinburgh coaching team are still skating on thin ice and if they had lost this game after subbing Mosese off at 60 minutes Edinburghs most dangerous back over the last 2 weeks that could of been the Nail in Everitts coffin.
I haven’t watched the full game so correct me if I’m wrong, Edinburgh just weren’t giving the umph until the last 15 minutes. Edinburgh has one or if not the best players but for some reason can’t do anything with them. You have 2 of the best wingers but can’t utilise them is crazy to me. If we were to go ggow squad vs Edinburgh squad, I would back Edin beating ggow 30 points clear
Agree massively that DVM and wee Darcy are massively underutilised at the toon, it's been an issue for a while. Both world class wingers coming in looking for work, but not having any distribution. It's really quite sad
Not the best game of rugby but I'll take the result, Glasgow looked the stronger team and they obviously are, but they dropped the ball today and Edinburgh defended uncharacteristically well. Class day out though, record breaking crowd and great patter all day with both sides of fans 👍
Well that was extremely underwhelming, both Teams looked knackered, 40 thousand fans and it was not a very good game to watch, a chance to showcase Scottish Rugby missed Glasgow win the Trophy but miss out on crucial league points.
I would say it’s more both teams know too much about each other and what they like to do so the game became very defensive oriented although Glasgow are stupid the number of chances they had to kick 3 and they kicked to touch.
shame that such a big crowd were given such a sludge fest. probably a lot of those new fans will never come back after that! at least Edinburgh showed the right attitude to actually win a game for once, they really are such basket cases these days i think a new coach might be necessary soon - they seem utterly rudderless. the amount of talent in that team but they never seem to be able to form a cohesive unit... i get the impression that Edinburgh is essentially just a place where guys audition for the Scotland squad.
Some of the folk couldnt believe that Glasgow Warriors were wearing the Argentina strip and not the dark blue one! (why not just ware the same strips as last week?).
Another 1872 snore fest yet again. I bought tickets for the family, and we've all agreed we won't be coming back. What a miserable game of rugby, right from the start. Basic skill errors, a ref who was determined to kill the game, and a very boring strategy from both teams. It happens so often in this fixture, and it's such a bad advert for Scottish rugby. Increasingly frustrating with some of the exciting talent on the pitch. I just hope the SRU, Edinburgh, and Glasgow do more to prevent this from happening again.
There was one highlight in the match, Schoeman’s kick to space which set up the try, and you didn’t include it?? Do better.
Came here to post this
yup. I only read the match report before coming here and even I know that.
Well, we all know there's no love for props out there
Ref couldn't have tried harder to kill this game. Should have left Holly in charge after last week, she was fantastic!
Absolute idiot of a ref . Three cheers for Holly
Well done edinburgh for sneaking this one at the death
Why would you exclude Schoemans game changing kick???
I was there and I thought it was rather exciting
You must love games where nobody scores for an hour

@Rankad I was there, and it was awful. Even as an Edinburgh fan. Waste of an afternoon (and money).

Btw the edin beating ggow is literally just based off players, not how the team plays

Completely agree. Can anything be done to improve the quality and excitement of this fixture?

Well done Edinburgh, this might finally shut Glasgow up.
Atleast glasgow can win away games and not just home🤷🏻♂️👀
Scraping over the line by 3 points at home…yeah, I can’t see Glasgow ever coming back from this! 😂😂😂

Cos Edinburgh were home and Glasgow were away?
Great to see Edinburgh pull off the come back but Glasgow had already don’t the damage in the first leg.

Well that was 80 minutes of my life wasted, game was absolute dross. Should have just taken the kids elsewhere, they concur.
Grim rugby. Bodes well for 6 Nations. 😁
