    For any serious car guys looking for this level of work along with high end detailing and restoration please send your inquiry through the Auto Fanatic website for consideration.

    That is impressive, especially how he was able to tuck in the film around the edges. No visible seams! I've seen videos of cars with PPF and always noticed the hard edges.

    • @autofanaticcars
      @autofanaticcars  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      exactly! we were not able to show all the tricks behind this type of work but this is what separates a guy with 24 years experience versus most shops who are lucky to have a kid working with 1-3 years experience. We will be featuring more cars on the channel soon we are doing a brand new Alfa Stelvio QV right now

      @@autofanaticcars Also the difference between wanting to do this for a living and just doing it to have a job.
      And yeah I heard in the video you mentioned the Stelvio. And something about a dog going into the backseats lol

    Djees, there is hardly any difference in gloss and clarity on the glass as on the paint, looks like he's wrapped in glass. The guys in the shop know there craft also, small shop but top notch craftsman, that how I like it. Kudos on the car, it's really a peach!!

    Nice job. The few exposed seams eventually start to show dirt and the best thing I’ve found so far to keep them clean and not compromise the edge is a harder compound clay bar. Best of luck with the car.

    You can absolutely do this bumper without seams on the lower half of the grille. I’ve done it both ways.

    That BMW kidney bean grill, what were they thinking? The rest of the car is awesome.

    I've had xpel on 2 vehicles and have been happy with it. All about the install IMO.
    Thoughts on ceramic over PPF? I think I'm done with ceramic coatings

    • @autofanaticcars
      @autofanaticcars  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      no il just be using our Auto Fanatic Hyper Gloss Ceramic as a true ceramic sealant over the car it just seems to work better and so much easier to maintain

    I hoped he PPF the headlights too, I regret not doing mine years ago now they are pitted from all the rocks use in winter time, as salt does not work is way to cold

    • @autofanaticcars
      @autofanaticcars  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes he suggested it and i was not sure but I had him do the headlight as well there is just so much gravel on the NYC roads it just made sense at the time and im sure these lights are not cheap.

    I had a nightmare once. I was installing PPF on Phil's personal car. "I'm a perfectionist" just kept ringing in my ears....looks good. One question. Did you need to buff the entire car? Was it precautionary or did you have micro scratches.

    • @autofanaticcars
      @autofanaticcars  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah the dealers do very minimal detailing on new cars almost every new cars need to be corrected first.

  • @wday482
    @wday482 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have complete PPF on my car but my detailer doesn't believe in PPF..They say they never saw one they liked done on a car. BTW, which is more fun to drive? This or your GT350R?

    How come you didn’t do the head lights ?

  • @Carguy57121
    @Carguy57121 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    So why bulk wrap the hood if you already have the xpel ppf and can just use the DAP cuts? Didn't like the pattern?

    • @autofanaticcars
      @autofanaticcars  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      they custom cut everything and modify and create their own patterns in CAD. the basic patterns are not good for a fully professional perfect seamless result this is what separates most installers from the rest

    Im picky as hell too. I’m in the Philly area and I’d completely drive there for the peace of mind.

      please contact us through our website to discuss your next project. I have found that over the years 99% of installers suck and this is why I never was happy contracting wraps and PPF out. Now we are partnered with the best of the best and offering these services to our clients.

    been following and watching for years. Always buy your detailing products and purchased the front mud flaps from you a couple years ago! I still have my 2017 Giulia quadrifoglio. 4 years ownership. trofeo white exterior with the carbon fiber sparco seats. just hit 45k miles. Have debated selling but I love the car.. sad to see you go to BMW but seeing what you went through with your Alfa, it's more than impressive that you stuck with the car for so long. There is no way in hell I would've, and I guarantee 99% of others would've switched brands after a year. I have been pondering a 2020 Aston Martin vantage, 2023 m3 competition, or maybe even a 2021 m8 coupe.. Wonder if you have driven the Vantage and/or the m8?
    Looking forward to the m3 content - you maxed out everything you could with the Alfa. I have a strange feeling you'll be back with alfa in the future :)

    • @autofanaticcars
      @autofanaticcars  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hey thanks for watching wanna laugh BMW wholesaled my QV to the Alfa dealer in CT. Once they found out the car history they immediately pulled it off their site and refused to sell it ha ha ha that car was possessed and I tried so hard not to share everything on social media because everyone would think I would be insane to have put up with what I did. the M3 is a very fun car the M8 looks killer but it too big you would not like it coming from the QV. If you consider Aston look at the new Vantage F1 edition that is the one to get and I love it myself.

    • @brandonbattiato568
      @brandonbattiato568 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@autofanaticcars I dont blame BMW for wholesaling to alfa dealer.. looking forward to the grill you're going to make with this m3. if I end up getting one, I'd most definitely want to buy one from you. my buddy has a 21 m3 comp, changed out the grill for a carbon fiber one. dont know the name, but it looks a lot better. Thank god you went with the m3, can't stand the look so the m4.

      I feel your pain you could only imagine what i have gone through over the years hiring sub par contractors to do work on expensive exotic cars only to be let down and have angry customers. this is why i never promoted this services in my shop anymore or on social media up until recently.
