    Hi Larry,
    Thanks for the training files.
As I checked through all files, this video was much easier and informative than the one you posted before for the moving mesh in a tank. As I checked the last one, I was confused; but by viewing this new one, I completely understood how to simulate a tank.

Can you please do a video to track fluid deposition from a nozzle(cylindrical geometry) on a substrate using a two phase flow phase field method in laminar flow?

Hi Larry thank you so much for this really useful tutorial! I would ask you if you never simulated in Comsol a rectangular open channel, slightly inclined, I have problem to implement the free surface, if you can help in some way it can be so kind.
    Thank you :)

Can you use the shallow water approximation? That would be a good approach to simulate flow in a channel if you can justify it. Otherwise, a free surface can be simulated with a moving mesh, as in this example. However, Comsol has a new boundary condition so you no longer need to specify the velocity of the mesh, as it says in the video. This simplifies the set up, but it contradicts some things that are said in the video. You could also you a Level Set analysis to simulate a free surface. This is numerically intensive, however.

ciao! io anche sarei interessato allo svuotamento di un canale rettangolare aperto, posso chiederti se alla fine sei riuscito? grazie mille!

Hey larry how much math do I need to know if I want to go into hydrogeology? I'm in my fourth year of an env science degree but really liked my hydrology class which inspired me to take hydrogeology and contaminant hydrogeology classes as well. Im prob gonna stick around for a 5th year to satisfy GIT requirements and do a modelling project with my hydrogeo prof
I was planning on taking more calculus next year while I do this too, but how much do you really use?

Hi Ahrimanic, Good to hear from you. Please contact me at: lmurdoc@clemson.edu. I don't monitor this site as much as I should. Larry
