The Commanders can absolutely win. Their defensive game plan needs to be a copy of what the Bills did against the Ravens in the first half: stuff the run, force the opponent to beat them with the pass.
Ppl complaining about the penalties bc those turned out to be scoring drives for them? Not hard to understand. They were gonna be dead drives that penalties turned into points?
@@dbmagee21both are true, can’t expect defenders to stop when they are already in the process of a tackle, quite a few unfair calls that helped the chiefs, but, also Mahomes is clutch and better than everyone
I love Simms but he’s being super disingenuous about that terrible “6th play of the game” for the chiefs. If the Texans get off the field in that situation then that no doubt gives their team some momentum. Momentum in sports, especially in football is a real thing and can totally change the landscape of a game.
I went through the penalties. The refs artificially extended the Chief's drive early on with the one Chris mentioned with a bad call, then they stalled a Texans drive with a 3rd down penalty, and tried (but failed) to stall a 2nd drive with subjective penalties (holding) that they almost never call. So that's +1 drive help for the Chiefs, -2 Drive help for the Texans. Objective calls on 3rd down that extend drives for one team or kill drives for the others are the thing to watch for. And they ALWAYS go in favor of the Chiefs in the playoffs. On top of that, the Refs are extremely lenient with the Chiefs on O-Line holding and Defensive PI. O-Line holding gives Pat all the time he needs, which again extends drives, then on the other side, the KC DBs can commit a PI, but it's not called, effectively killing a drive for KC's opponent. ...that's why everyone who is not a Chiefs fan is complaining. We have eyes. We watched the game. We can see the officiating impacting the outcome of the game. Would be curious to know how many of those Chiefs sacks against Caleb occurred after the holding penalties on the Texans O-Line, which was held to a much higher standard than the Chief's O-Line.
@@RageDaug, if you really had eyes, you would look at the stats to see how many calls actually went against the Chiefs versus the other teams. You may be surprised.
Don't touch the QB's head and don't launch at a sliding QB. The league has been protecting QB's for how many years? It's time to stop yelling at clouds.
Remind me which games the Commanders were dominated in besides week 1? The worst loss was by 8 to Dallas. The other losses were 1 score losses to playoff teams. The whole reason they win so many nail biters is because they never get dominated and are in every game at the end. Chris still stuck in preseason eval mode of Washington?
Self scout thy self: afraid that commanders will make for a non-competitive super bowl? Afraid that commanders will get blown out? Commanders play tight with everyone, have been defying expectations all year. JD5 and this competitive team refuse to be taken down despite having an inferior roster. Respect what they've done
People clowning on Sirrianni for crying before the Super Bowl; meanwhile, Chris is high af crying over the game on his couch. Also Bills/Chiefs get a 32 minute segment and the Eagles get half that :)
Eagles are rough to watch. Saquon is the only remotely exciting part of their game and even his gamebreaking runs seem boring because of how wide open the holes are. Y’all have a great o line.
Chiefs did nothing in the first game against buffalo. Gonna be entirely different this time. Hope Josh is forced into Superman mode and we get mistakes.
Chiefs are the most helped team in the NFL postseason. NOT the most clutch team. In every major game there are HUGE, BLATANT bad calls that favored the Chiefs and extended drives that were otherwise stalled. Every. Single. Time. That’s why nobody wants to watch them anymore.
Every time? Are we including the offsides penalty in the AFCCG against the Patriots that took away a game sealing INT? Or the roughing the passer on Chris Jones when his HAND grazed Brady's helmet? Oh right that's when the chiefs hadn't won anything yet. Calls only go your way when you win a lot. 🙄 Allen get more roughing calls than any other QB. Chiefs are one of the most penalized teams in the league. Quit bitchin and tell your team to get good.
Mike who am I to question you. You got it going on. Texans give up 63 yard kick off return, 8 sacks, 2 missed field goals. But only reason chiefs won was refs!!! Bet Vegas is in touch with you soon. Expertise and insight such as yours can't be ignored!!!
Either team could win this. Kc has the pedigree and history on their side but Allen seems like he’s on a mission this year.
