Bulalo is never complete if you dont make a dipper for it. On the sauce platter, squeeze two pcs of calamansis, put a good amount of fish sauce then crush the chili you just ate. Every time you'd have a spoonful of rice with the broth, beef and some veggies (that's the perfect bite right there), sprinkle a bit of the sauce you created on your rice, beef and veggie then eat. It's Bulalo powered to the next level.

Now may not be a good time for them to visit Baguio. That place got battered by typhoon Ompong just a few weeks ago.
That's what i've been saying, baguio all the way... strawberry farm in the nearby town with straberry ice cream and strawberry taho, then after baguio head straight to sagada to the mountains..
You just had the elixir of the gods right there. The best cure-all ever known to man. Here's a tip tho... next time you try it, eat it with a dipping sauce at the side made out of patis (fish sauce) or soy sauce (depending on your preference), calamansi, and chilies. The bone marrow (the slimy white thing) is the prized part of the meal,and since you didn't partake of it properly you get overwhelmed by its richness. Next time mix the bone marrow into some rice, get some of the broth, then splash some of the dipping sauce, I promise you its going to be an out of body experience for you... and the bone marrow (believe it or not) is a good source of good cholesterol. I hope you enjoyed your visit to Tagaytay.
P.S.
The bananas you had could not be found anywhere else in the Philippines but in Tagaytay (and Silang). It is uniquely endemic only to that area. Its called senyorita. ;-)

When it comes to info about the country I got your backs broskis! Bring a local with you next time because there are some other great eats in tagaytay, they are also known for pineapples, a local fresh water sardine called "tawilis", and coffee. Here's a bit of trivia for you about the bananas. Locals say that the senyorita bananas "can't" leave Tagaytay. What happens is when you buy those bananas (you buy them by the big branch just like in the bulalo place. It's cheap that's why they are sold that way), whenever you travel back to Manila the bananas start falling off the branch, as if they don't want to leave Tagyaytay. One theory is the climate, they say that the warmer climate in Manila makes the bananas "weak" so they fall off the branch.. ;-)

The best savory soup of Bulalo is in BULALO POINT. Mahogany market style of cooking is using pressure cooker. Bulalo Point boils the meat slowly, low fired so the meat is tender off the bones and the broth is savory. Check it out it is in Tagaytay also. Enjoy the bone marrow.

im in Tagaytay right now... I also tried the Bulalo yesterday but I googled the best Restaurant for Bulalo. We ate at Leslie's as per Food Blog's suggestions.. The vibe was amazing and the whole experience of eating Bulalo there was awesome. Im now checked in at Crosswinds Resort Suites and I am loving Tagaytay. Hope to see you around.
