      Asalamu aleykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh imran akhi.
      I wanted to bring important matter in to your mind. Wallahi it's hard to overcome addictions .It took me 2 years just to figure out how to overcome my addictions after relapsing so many times. As you are among youth and you are changing them, it will be the best for those who are not addicts and those who are addicts, to build a boarding madrasah for them and keep them their for like two years and that will help them to overcome their addictions and learn the basic of the Deen very well.

    Salaamu aleykum
    The part about Somali having big hair being bad thing in the Somali culture is still something we all discussing. The nomad Somali have big Afro and it’s something that has been forgotten about. I guess it’s a misunderstanding between the generations but it’s deeply rooted in the Somali people to have Afro hair. My opinion anyway let me know if anyone else has something to add!

    About slang, it depends. Are we speaking strictly of slang words or are we also bringing culture into this (ie a way of speaking rather than a few select words).
    When you say speak english properly... who decides what is proper? English has been spread throughout the world and some cultures speak it in a certain way. Those people go to "proper" english speaking places (ex: The UK) and integrate, and heavily populate these areas (example: Jamaicans). The other populations in this area also integrate with them and speak in a similar way. So who decides that Jamaicans speak bad english when in fact they have transformed the language of the colonizers into something that is their own?
    I would say, don't curse, dont have a foul mouth but also dont act like one dialect or accent is superior to another.

    I may have misunderstood this. If fades can be seen as imitation of disbeliever or sinners, surely that can be said to majority of the things that are part of the west. So wouldnt that make trainers, hoodies, caps and hats all part of that form of imitation? Even language. And doesn't that add to the whole idea of looking as Muslim as possible. Furthermore, attributing to the whole stormtrooper idea. What makes haircuts different. I'm confused tbh. I get fades (not skin fades) purely due to the fact i think they look nice.

    Slang is wrong in Dawah or life in general and there is no manners or respect in side it. I dont get Dawah man, he tries to act street but he's not. So then dont. This is not the way of the Sunnah and to talk slang the way you guys are is embarrassing. Just talk normal, ppl will not come to Islam because of your street talk but because of Allah, show manners and respect.

    • @onepurpose1625
      @onepurpose1625 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Sarah Smith u are absolutely right in what are saying. My point was to make Dawah man and others acknowledge when they have commented on other ppl for the same principles. My opinion is that ppl live and learn and we cannot be so strict with things and wisdom is greater then knowledge. I dont agree with ppl calling them self Salafi but this my opinion and u stated that I was being judgemental but I dont think u understood what I was trying to explain but I dont c any judging in what iv said just comments on contradiction, were things apply to others but not him.

    • @onepurpose1625
      @onepurpose1625 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Sarah Smith also I'm not snobbish, but now u r being judgemental to me because u dont even know me and I havent been so rude in my comments to u. The slang he has used is bad and no its wrong to think that, that's the only way to teach ppl. Also u think it's ok to use words lik, bad man or man dem. Ok that's ur opinion but it just sounds silly for me but that's my opinion. It's not niche, it's called not having ur own character but changing with the wind. I grew up on the streets in probably the worst place in London and I'm telling u that its pathetic and no need to talk in that manner. Anyway may Allah guide us all. Ameen.

    • @onepurpose1625
      @onepurpose1625 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Sarah Smith what? That's exactly what I'm saying. I'm agreeing with u. I'm saying noone has right to put others down and the only reason I'm saying what I am, is because this is exactly what Dawah man his ppl have been doing. I'm sorry but i really dont think you have understood what I'm saying. Everything u r saying, i agree with but this is not how Dawah man has been conducting himself. He refuted ppl in the wrong way and manners and that's why I'm trying show his contradiction. Also u said he was 17, no he's not. U said, was I not doing that? Yes I was and that's my point, that's theres nothing good inside it and that's not how u teach ppl by being on that level. Also Dawah man is old enough to understand this. He is not a child or teenager. My sister, do u understand he had no right to refute certain ppl publicly and still hasnt apologised because for his actions.

    • @onepurpose1625
      @onepurpose1625 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Sarah Smith well done! So I think we are on the same page.

    • @onepurpose1625
      @onepurpose1625 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Sarah Smith it is not Islamic? Ok so its Islamic that dawa man reads a private email of Yasir Qadhi that was asked by someone and sent only to that person in confidants, was then taken out in public before even trying to clarifying it, which was not even spoken about properly. And about Ali Khan, I have no idea what ur talking about as I do not really listen to him and be honest it sounds like social media gossip, which again I'm not going to indulge myself into because I do not know these peoples personal life. U sound very young and naive. When u grow up u will learn not to care for these things because Allah is the judge, not u or me. U havent understood the purpose, hence me saying before, these ppl sound like their have a cup of cha like old ladies and gossiping. In all respect, Salaam and may Allah guide us all as good Muslims. Ameen.
