- In the year 1920 at Palampur, India, an architect arrives at a large manor house. The manager of the mansion, MK, discusses how its owner wishes to have it torn down with a hotel constructed in its place. Later that night, the architect is killed by a mysterious force. It turns out the first architect who had come before him was also killed in a similar manner some time ago. Now the third architect who is brought in, Arjun Singh, is a religious, true devotee of lord Hanumaan and devoted to his family; but he is also in love with Lisa. This meets strong disapproval from his family because Lisa (born of a British father and an Indian mother) is of mixed faith. Arjun decides to marry Lisa anyway. As he travels to Mumbai, his father and his brothers intercept his car, beat him up, and try to burn Lisa alive. Arjun fights back and decides to disavow his faith and his family for Lisa. He ultimately becomes an atheist.

Some people might not find this movie scary and might find it funny instead, but the truth is that this movie has this creepy feeling to it that hardly any other horror movie in Bollywood possesses. The people who think Liza should have been scarier don't get that ghosts are not always supposed to have full white eyes and bleeding mouths and cuts all over their faces. The story of this movie was beautiful and unique and the acting was on point too! It is one of those few horror movies in which the ghost is a male. Well done!

In many comments, people are making fun of other religions that their God is not powerful. Thats not fair. Every religion is powerful enough to cast out evil. It is all about unflinching faith. Arjun's faith was higher than that of father Thomas, though for sometime he distracted due to his family's behavior towards Lisa but later repented . 1:49:50- senior father clearly said to Thomas that we are incapable of doing exorcism. It requires unshakeable faith. Ghost was able to attack father Thomas only after taking his holy stole by trick.
The moral of the story is that we should always know hanuman chalisa😂... literally got goosebumps❤

I watched this movie with family in DVD player when i was in class 3 in 2009. I used to close my eyes during horror scene . After that i can't go to toilet alone on my own on that night . The most important thing is that i still do fast forward some scary scene .

Every Scene, expressions, dialogues, casts was very high level . Especially d story line , scenes which gives retro vibes. Everything is sooooo unique . Don't go for d ghost look or how scary it can be. But the fact is.. The chill scary vibe which this movie gave by understanding d story itself , none other movie can do it
