I listened to this on early access and now I'm gonna listen to it again like a billion times and might I just say.... Villain Husband?? The way he takes such pleasure in kickstarting the slight corruption of the listener is top tier, I'm sure after the lil' war finishes - the pair of them would do well now as a political power couple. Fixing policies, maybe clearing out the corrupt members of the council, making a better kingdom than their father to inspire some sort of loyalty?? Either way, the listener's element might just be ruling and their husband would probably be a little more relieved he doesn't have to worry too much about people trying to overthrow him despite the full raid of the kingdom.
It's great to see how the villain and listener have been bonding more💫. ~Listener & his father~ I think that... _When his father sent to kidnap among other things, it just showed that there was never really a bond between them other than blood as Listener in the past tried to cling to his father looking for affection but he showed that there was not a shred of affection towards Listener._ _Listener could have been the most loyal and honest person to his father if he had shown love, respect but he just ended up being a stranger living in the same place._ *Or maybe they did have a good relationship but his father just cared more about being the king?* Well that's what i think... Long live the King🔥

The King's Child, waiting outside beside the bodies of the Gaurds that are bleeding out on the floorboards, holding the very knife they tried to stab their husband with from the first episode. Wipeing the blood off the blade while listening to the scuffle inside the room. When the scuffle is over, they take that as their cue to enter. Once inside, they keep their eyes on their father, letting their furry turn them cold as they approach...one quick stab to the heart, they watch the king slump to the floor, suprised that it ended so quickly, and their own thrill as life leaves the former King's eyes.... Sorry, this series activates my writer's brian....I'll stop.

This kind of makes me think. The king is obviously in the wrong here for arranging for their child to be kidnaped but the alternative of letting his child be with someone famous for their cruelty is just as bad as letting them be kidnaped. Though everything aside what choice did the king really have? The invading forces probably would have killed him and his child if he didn't give them a reason not to. If your kingdom was under attack and the only way to give your child a fighting chance against a guillotine was to marry them off to the invader would you do it, even at the risk of you being killed yourself as you out live your usefulness to the invader? If you lived would you have sleepless nights over the guilt of your decision and the uncertainty you made the right decision at all? Would you resort to desperate measures to get your child back? Even if it meant arranging for them to get kidnapped by another power hungry man? Or maybe I'm just reading too much into this who knows?
My favorite storylines of this channel may be the ones about Frosthaven; but this character hits differently, and I look forward to each new episode. The Villain and listener have a unique chemistry. Will we ever learn the Villain's name?

Its 3am but who needs sleep. Anyways, hear me out. The listeners and villains relationship reminds me of hades and persephone. The villain is the 'bad' character. he's evil, he wants to kill everything. while the listener on the otherhand is like persephone. they're the only thing stopping the villain from murdering everything that pisses him off. And in a way, the villain kept the listener from being lawful good by them killing the king. Like persephone having to stay in the underworld due to eating the pomegranate. And even though the villain is considered evil, and basically a bad person (even though he enjoys that part) he still treats the listener with kindness and compassion. As hades did his wife. Conclusion? The listener and villian are Hades and Persephone reincarnated. Except the villain enjoys being bad. 👍
I can agree to this! Also depending on what version of the myth you believe, persephone at first was also reluctant to marry hades. And now I'm imagining listener as dread persephone (who is the actual one to have created the worst punishments and everyone is afraid of)
