    I did this walk just before Easter and it was a lovely walk on a glorious sunny day. Love the South West Coast Path.

      Yep, still a little rusty and not completely confident in going too high yet but managed to get it out for a quick play. Thanks for watching, Max. All the best.

    Beautiful stretch of coast that, looked a nice walk, I agree about walking on sand and dunes, so much harder, nice views throughout that walk, enjoyed watching, all the best 👍

      I know there's a stretch of the SWCP that is about twelve miles long and all on sand, so I am not looking forward to that! It is a beautiful stretch, and as I approach lands end and the Lizard, it gets really picturesque so going to be some great areas coming up. Thanks for joining me Gaz. all the best mate !

    Ahhh Perranporth :-) I worked as a caravan sales manager at Haven in Perranporth many moons ago.. like 25 odd years ago... loved my time there... crap in winter though so I left. Used to be a great wine bar on the beach... many a time staggered out of there. Great walk Trev. Lee

      I was surprised how large Perranporth was, always pictured a smaller village type of place. Was really busy there too. Thanks for watching, Lee. All the best mate!

    Brilliant video, very inspirational to get out onto the path when the time is right. Would like to have seen the video longer with more shots of the path/coast and changes as you go but great anyway. Really like the addition of the maps in the video. Fern Pit Cafe & Ferry looks a great spot to visit for lunch.

      Not as impressive as yours - I'm still a bit wary of taking it too high if im honest. Thanks for watching, Martin!

      Im getting a bit more braver but it is a bit nerve racking at first. Its a real shame that drones are banned from Dartmoor as dogs do far more damage to livestock but they are still allowed on the moor.

    Good capture of the Cornish Choughs . Lovely video . I found that section hard but did walk to St Agnes scenery changes dramatically after Perranporth. Loved Holywell . Think I might have to redo this section.

    • @SummitOrNothing
      @SummitOrNothing  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was a cracking section for sure, Lisa, and I didn't even realise how special the Chough was when I was filming it, shame, I would have recorded its call too had I known. I'm taking the wife with me for the next part of the coast between Perranporth and Hayle. Looking forward to it! Thanks for watching, Lisa!

    Unfortunately Fern Pit Cafe near Newquay that was on this video has since closed.
    I only visited once just before it closed and thought it was lovely. With some great views out to the River Gannel.

    As usual a brilliant video :) We walked from Crantock to st. Agnes Aug. 17th - more or less the same stretch. And sadly we didn't about those caves. We walked the first 1/3 part of the Perran Sands Beach along the beach, and the rest along the sand dunes above the beach. Huge mistake. The dunes were far worse to walk - like walking in sugar (up one step / slide a bit down again for every step / climb again) than the beach. But over all the walk was absolutely lovely. Fantastic to relive it again through your video. You capture the whole atmosphere :) Thank you!

      I can imagine the dunes were hard work, the beach wasn't too bad in the end. Thanks for watching 😁😁

    Hi mate. Really enjoy your walks. I have a question tho! Which part of the cornish coastal path did you like most and which part would you recommend for a family walk? (I'll have a toddler on my back 😂😂) I'm used to hills as I live in the North of England 😂😂. Keep up the good work 👍👌

    Lovely walk and a great video. The cave at the end was intriguing. Was it a single entry / exit cave or did it have an entry and a separate exit further on? Sorry, not explaining myself very well but I'm sure you know what I mean. The man ahead of you seemed to be a bit suspicious of you or was it my imagination?

    • @SummitOrNothing
      @SummitOrNothing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont know if there was another entrance-exit - because I was following that guy in I thought I would turn around and leave him to it as I got deeper in - think I probably was creeping him out a bit haha!

  • @georgedpost
    @georgedpost 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I noticed some of the drone shots, nicely done. But I had a chuckle thinking about you practicing using the drone. Did you March around your neighborhood with the drone following you around? Did your kids show you how to use it? And did they roll their eyes when they had to explain it more then once?

    • @SummitOrNothing
      @SummitOrNothing  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha! My kids probably would know more about it than me, but I am not brave enough to let them have a go lol. I have a nice big field near our house to practice in, so went out a few times. This was the first time I managed to get out since I had the proper remote control for it (as opposed to my phone app) so a few teething problems, but not too bad going. Cant wait to get some more shots with it!

      No, I met the family at the end - they dropped me at the start and spent the day loitering sightseeing.
