its absolutely AMAZING that in THIS DAY AND AGE with ALLLLLL the COUNTLESS amount of Military Model Painting Tutorials there are now, that you could STILL SOME FUCKING HOW, COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY FUCK UP PAINTING A MODEL SOLDIER?!?! you spray a soldier in "2-tone" like its a fucking 1990s car, completely fucking skip painting the skin, and completely skip painting their boots and details, all you have to do is just prime them all in Black Spray Primer, then paint or even overbrush the uniform colors, the paint in the skin, guns, boots, and details, then use a black or brown wash like Citadels or Vallejo and if youre lazy you can even just drybrush a lighter color version of their uniform, and skin, and gun colors for easy highlights, put glue on the base then dry brush that, i feel like you took a long walk for a short sip of water...

Yup youre exactly right. I made all the wrong decisions out of laziness and absolutely none of it was intentional whatsoever.

@@PlasticTactics Mate don't listen to that guys comment it is just hate. Everyone starts somewhere with painting models, I have been painting for a few years now but when I first started my models looked terrible. It is a skill that comes with time and practice so keep up the great work and you will improve. for Hyp3r's comment I can tell he has no idea what he is talking about and I can assure you that your already a better painter than him.
a few recommendations is that you invest in some primers and varnishes in order to protect your paint jobs and also to invest in some smaller brushes allowing you to reach more of the details of the model.
either way don't let some bloke on the internet who knows nothing about what they are talking about from stopping you doing something you enjoy.

@@colonial_tin_can5793 Thank you for the kind words man. We need more people like you in the hobby
I guess it doesnt come across in the video, but my goal with this project is to show people that they can get into wargaming with toy army men since theyre cheap and plentiful. Theyre meant to be painted as Green/Tan/Blue/ect toy soldiers. I just wanted control over the color matching and weathering. I intentionally painted them at a beginner level to make it less daunting to new people. Ive been Wargaming for a few years aswell and these are sealed and everything.
This video was pretty rough and all over the place, Ill have to do a proper intro to the project and take more time filming and editing for the rest of the videos i have planned. Might even redo this one down the line after I have more of a plan.
