Looks interesting as a pen but would never trust the screwdriver to not deform and break on even delicate tasks. Nice gag gift though.
I've only in the last few days become aware of the tactical pen world, and I am intrigued. This one seems gimicky though, never get enough torque on it for hard jobs. I already have a Milwaukee Fastback knife with screwdriver attachment as my EDC, love it.
I'm an electrician, and fascinated with light gadgets. I have hardhat lights, work lights, flashlights, etc. I kinda want a tactical pen now that I know about them, but the only one with a light I've seen so far is the Atomic Bear. Any chance you know of others, could do a video about tactical pen/lights?

I am buying this. I always Cary a screwdriver and my pen recently broke. This takes care of both and seems a bit more solid than my previous one.

You can probably find a leather pen holder somewhere that fits.
Seems like a rather easy design to open and clean every once in a while

I hope whatever you're screwing isn't torqued down too hard because this thing has no texture to get a solid grip.

If the screw you're turning is too tight for a pocket screwdriver, then you're using the wrong tool anyway.

@@FireDramine7 A small screwdriver designed specifically to fit in a uniform shirt pocket. Usually, the tool trucks give them away for free.
@@BeardMan01 still cant do a whole lot with those. Round design is just a poor choice no matter the size. I already struggle getting the small screws off of a mobo in a computer with such a screwdriver. Making it flat and just a little wider will still fit in any pocket but have loads more torque. Thats just my 2 cents having worked a lot with screwdrivers.

I'll pay for an expensive knife and flashlight. But pens walk away. Ever since carrying a mid level office pen in light girly colors, they've stopped disappearing.

Like, the difference in writing quality is probably marginal? (I’m guessing never bought a fancy one :/ )
Plus they’re heavy I’m guessing (if they’re made out of brass probs)
I usually just keep a ballpoint &/or gel pen on me, they don’t cost me more than $5 (even cheaper if I bought them in India)
@@chicagotypewriter2094 you can get good disposable pens for a little more then Bic pens. The difference is bic pens are indestructible. The expensive ones are good for artists and people that do a lot of hand writing. Bics are good if you just need a pen that works all the time.

That's exactly the kind of mechanism us guys would build a zip gun out of. It would be able to shoot a 22 shell.
Literally what I have been looking for, I need a screwdriver for random things at my desk job so i carry a Milwaukee hex bit driver pen thing from Home Depot, but this is CLASSY!
Seems like those bits could be double headed which would make it a lot more useful.
I would prefer that for pen fights. Absolute win

I use a bolt action pen at work and I get so many compliments on it. A coworker even asks me if she can use my pen because she loves it so much. Might just get her one.

if you were using a pocket organizer would the bolt stick out, since it's orientated the same as the pocket clip. I would have rotated the pocket clip 30-90 degrees to the left so the bolt sat at the side. Don't mind me, just thinking out loud.
Super cool, but in all honesty I'd rather just have separate pens and a screwdrivers 😂
reminds me of those pencils we had as kids where you could remove individual lead points from the tip and reload them into the back end of the pencil.

A really cool EDC accessory to show your friends.
I recently started in construction and this would have saved arse so many times in the past 3 months. My multitool is too bulky for what I have to wear (corporate style while on site) so this would have been perfect.
I manipulated a hole punch tool into a double action pistol. It took a bit of machining but actually shoots bullets.
Ok that’s like the perfect camera assistants tool, write the protocol, screw on / off components from the camera.
I can already see myself using that as like an imagine sniper rifle when I'm bored in class.
This would make a perfect toy for me. Im always bored at school and I love to collect pens.

$20 will buy you a hoto precision driver when its on it’s regular sales. Think I even saw it for $15 once. Then $.50 will buy you a pretty good pen. These things are so pointless. It’s jewelry. All flash.

Got mine from kickstarter. It's so fidgety and useful...love this pen comes with Lamy m22 refills. The magnets are super strong and bits are pretty good too... definitely sucks not having torx but I have some anyway I can swap out.

Lots of people whining a outing it in here but its very nice. Not even gimmicky, I have used both the screwdriver feature and the pen several times since having it.
I'd be interested to know if you find the bolt gets in the way or causes a hotspot when using? The way it works means that bolt is quite a bit lower than in most bolt action pens.

I don’t think the bolt would have to be any lower.. although they did probably keep the pen half about as short as possible. I was thinking more about extra weight/length from the driver side. Looks like a reasonably sized package though
I like a shorter carry pen that’s still long enough to not be awkward.. kaweco Supra atm.. similar to space pen in length and a little fatter. Percent IMO
Need to be conscious of orientation, so the bolt & channel is not resting against flash. I'd have made the grip section faceted instead of round to help with that & give some more grip for the screwing part.
imagine writing an exam with that pen and youre out of ink so you say ''GOTTA RELOAD!''

One of my coworkers like to make pens, last year he made everyone bolt action pens that look like 30-6 rounds with the pen clip being a little 30-6 rifle

And smooth metal to grip whilst you are trying to tighten or loosen a screw very useful I think I will stick to my pocket sized multi tool if I need a screwdriver on the fly
