I understand that this promo was done in 1989 due to the Hyles - Nischik rumors. If Hyles was innocent, I'll never understand why he allowed himself to be interview by 'A Current Affair.' I went back to visit HAC in 1993 just to get some perspective after graduating from a non-denominational Christian College with a B.S. in Communications. I found the students at the other college to be some of the nicest and genuine Christians I've ever known. Unfortunately, due to the brainwashing at HAC, I could've have gotten so much more from my college experience. As far as my visit to HAC in 1993, I found mostly everyone to be cold and uninviting. I went to chapel multiple times, went to the dining hall, hung out in the student activity centers, and rode the same Division 5 bus route that I had worked on in 1983 and '84. Oh, yes, when I was introduced as a guest in chapel, I got the sarcastic whistles from the imbred male students who thought any male student that didn't look like a bookend HAC hillbilly was a pretty boy. Anyone that I did engage with were consumed about what others thought of Dr. Hyles and HAC outside the IFB. My response, "hardly anyone has ever heard of Dr. Hyles and HAC." The only people who showed any kindness towards me was Roger Casteel, and shockingly, Jack Schapp. Schapp tracked me down after a Wednesday night FBC service and said that he'd loved me and would be praying for me. I was floored when I heard of the scandal that led to his downfall and prison sentence. Even 40 years after leaving HAC, my best friend and I still discuss the experience and how it had a negative impact on our lives. But do crack up by some of the characters we interacted with - like Phil Sallie. If I had graduated from HAC, I'd probably would have ended up marrying someone I didn't love, watch her gain 70 pounds, and would have lived a life living paycheck to paycheck. Just the other day, my best friend and I were recalling a time when Dr. Jorgensen was teaching a personal finance class. The class was about how to open a checking account and he made everyone learn how to write a check. 😅
The original master was a U-matic analog tape that had serious deterioration and had to be cleaned numerous times to facilitate the digital remastering to DVCPRO50. The U-matic tape was destroyed during the transfer process and two U-matic machines being used were rendered inoperative by the tape.
At 2:28 the young girl in the frame looks exactly like Esther Combs who was tortured by her parents. Her dad was a teacher at HAC. Anyone else notice this?

" (Matt. 7:5) I have found that the most critical people in the world are those who have done little if anything for the cause of Christ. Another good verse, "Who are you who judge another's servant? I had the privalage to go to pastors school back in 98 . and that week was the best preaching I have ever heard . I also got some tapes there by dean blakney and jeff owens , who I believe are great men of God . Now for all of these people that have blasted ANY of these men I want to ask you a question . Where do you think you would be going if it hadn't been for a godly woman named mary ? Let me tell you something not even mary was perfect and she is the one who gave birth to jesus . I remember one service when a dead man needed to step out of the auditorium..time for one of his insulin shots... Hyles screamed out to stop him or to rake him out in the hallway,pick up a rock and rock him to sleep..amens , yelling and screaming followed. ..he later apologizedONLY after the damage was done. ..also we had a teen boy who took his own life because they called him a queer in the youth conference..he poured gas on himself and set himself on fire... he did nothing accept have curly hair he kept short....all the abuse and for what..their own false ways and teachings over being to proud and arrogant to love and accept others
