- The Garden State got a little “greener” when one ticket in New Jersey matched all the numbers in the $1.13 billion Mega Millions drawing this week - and the winner picked their own numbers! A state law allows the winner to remain anonymous. NBC’s Emilie Ikeda reports for TODAY.

If the winner is smart enough, they probably already retained a trust & estate lawyer and a financial adviser. Most likely they will wait until the last minute to claim the prize so they have enough time to put all their affairs in order so no surprises will happen after they claim the money.

Winner is busy searching for a lawyer/accountant.
Lump sum cash payout was like 350 million after taxes. If they get 11 and a half million after taxes a year for 30 years, that equals 345 million. So how is it possible that they are saying that the winner gets the full 1.13 billion if they choose annual payments?? it all adds up to the same amount at the end. I'd rather have all my money now instead of waiting on the government for 30 years, who knows what will happen.
