If you can get your PR after the expensive education, then probably it is worth it. I seriously debt Australian degree gets any special consideration anywhere in the world (even from a top university). All university degrees are quit local in any country. UK gives importance to UK degrees, US and Canada gives importance to North American degrees.

Not really, as long as you pass there won’t be any problem. But at the same time if you study in a highly recognised university, that will be an additional bonus on your resume.
