Awesome mechanic to the game! I haven't seen that before and your units actively climbing the tower is cool to see in real time. I wonder if you could just cheese by making tons of guard towers and siege units lol..
I played this for the first time last night and came to the same brutal end twice 😅 It's a good and fun game but it needs work before the full game is released, you need to be able to pan the camera out more for a better tactical view, thats a deal breaker for me, i found it frustrating being stuck with that claustrophobic view.
Personally think the game is good where its at but I think I'm expecting too much in terms of Race/Units.. Super fun game and cant wait for updates! Currently Ogre -> Warrior -> Archers -> Ogre
@@Virmant0ff I feel 2.5/5 is fair for now until more features are added ( heroes specfically ) I do enjoy that the game as its own flavor in the RTS world. The engine is smooth so no complaints, visually appealing and overall fun! I didnt get too deep into unit grouping and timings but im sure that will be a thing for ranked. I will say it feel polished for a playtest!
Well, you lasted longer than I did playing without the AI Assistant turned on. It's like whack-a-mole at night and once the enemy AI comes at you at the same time it's game over, you just can't generate enough of an army as fast as the AI can. Looking at the end game stats I was being outproduced at everything 3-1 if not 4-1 in some resources. I turned on the AI Assistant, and after three or four games of being slaughtered I finally won one. The problem with the AI Assistant being turned on is the units will not stay put unless you put them in a control group. The other problem with them is they jumble up and get stuck behind the Peons, so trying to move between building fast is a no-go. I finally found a winning solution, and I mean by winning it's like a 1 out of three game wins, by being aggressive. I take a five brute squad and clear out the paths around the starting base, once the Warg dens are cleared you don't have to worry about them. As soon as I cleared out a spot where a gold source was I plop down a Town Center and find another spot to clear. It's got a lot of polish to be applied, and some tweaks need to be made, but performance-wise it runs good.
Love that buildings are defensive platforms as well... makes town sieges a thing now.
