Thank you for taking the time to post this. Apparently the resistor failure you addressed at around the 3 min mark is a problem for many of us with this amp. In my current situation, and another individual finding the same problem on their VK-112, you have saved me and others a lot of time, money, and headaches. Be sure to loop through the send/return, as it's like taking a blanket off the unit. It can cause issues with volume. This puppy screams now.
Great video! But what is the safest way to remove the knobs on the front panel, so you can "draw" the circuit board back and out? I have already ruined one of my knobs! I see the shafts are split shafts. But it seems they're stuck there. Special tool? In my case I have to change one of the plastic inputs out, it has cracked up and gives no firm connection.
Picking one of these up tomorrow dirt cheap glad I've found your channel excellent work matey is there any way to turn the wattage down on these amps via modification so it will play at really low volumes but still sound like a valve amp should? Keep up the good work and I hope you all the success in the future
Hello, i know that this is an older video but is there anyways to drain the caps without removing the circuit board? I have the same amp and cant reach the terminal on the filter cap
Could you help me figure out what is wrong with my 120 wat valve king head. It was on stand by warming up and after a minute it 2 I went to turn stand by on and play it and there's nothing, be l no pilot light no tube light but they were warn so that were working. But the internal fuse 250 was burned by the test said it was passing signal through it. Please help.

Hi, I've got a Peavy VK 212 that only powers the red power light, no sound. Can you help recommend what I should do to test and repair it?
