    2:46 -- when those blocks change directions, then do they both have the same velocity at all times? Such as zero velocity?

    ok ... but how do "two blocks of mass continually move" in a microchip..?

    finally someone thats not talking shit how he found out about the gyro for 4 mins and 1 min spining some stupid bike wheels.

    How did you calculate the coriolis force using delta d? I am not able to understand it. It cannot be calculated because Fc depends only on m, omega & v. They where will be delta d useful?

      The 2 masses oscillate in that velocity

    Im trying to make a device to help my friend walk straight by sending alerts if slightly deviated (right or left) . Would Gyroscope or accelerometer or gyroscope work? I need suggestions . Thank You

      Gyroscope will do the task and accelerometer may be added for more functionality

    Hi, so i understand that gyroscope can calculate the angular velocity (ie. change in rotation). But how does one know, what is the exact rotation at a given time? Eg. when a phone rotates itself into portrait/landscape mode, does it only use the fact that there was an according "spike" in angular velocity, but it never measures the actual current angles?
    Or is the magnetometer used for this?

    • @thefelixno
      @thefelixno 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      little late, but it actually uses the accelerometer which can measure the earth's acceleration on 3 axes. When the phone is rotated the g-force moves from the portrait(y) to the landscape (x) axis :)
      Algorithms usually combine gyroscope and accelerometer data to make sure the phone was really rotated and not just shaken really quickly.

      @@thefelixno so "it never measures the actual current angles".. right?

    2:59 the rotation direction shown is not correct, in this case, it should be toward us not, not to the up.

    How does accelerometer differentiates between velocity and acceleration??
    I mean how it knows that which one is velocity and acceleration

    I'm lost now, I need to understand the fundamentals. What is the use of each gyroscope, magnetometer and the accelerometer?

    • @PracticalNinjas
      @PracticalNinjas  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Gyroscope is used to measure angular velocity, magnetometer is used to detect the magnetic field and accelerometer is used to measure acceleration. The purpose of IMU is used to measure all the three quantities.

    You are pronouncing the word "Gyroscope" wrong.
    Check the actual pronunciation of that word..
