- In this video, I delve into my decision to move away from Firebase for my Flutter app. I'll specifically address the reasons I stopped using Firestore and Firebase Cloud Storage. While there were multiple factors influencing my choice, the primary concern was the cost structure.

Great video, very useful.
Serverpod seems to be evolving to be a great backend for flutter, did you already look at that? Dart code on the backend and Postgres SQL DB.
I hadn't heard of it, but it looks like a nice choice. Thanks for sharing
Very good, thanks.
6:56 Did you know that Firebase Dynamic Link Service is going to be discontinued? The service is set to shut down on August 25, 2025.
Yes I'm aware, it's unfortunate I'll be migrating away soon
Another option you could have looked into is AWS Amplify. It's a complete alternative to Firebase, has support for relational data, auth, push notifications, cloud functions and uses S3 for file storage.
I did look at Amplify at one point and it's pricing structure seemed about the same as firebase, but yes it potentially would have been easier to setup vs the django backend.
What about Supabase?)
yes, that's another alternative to firebase which uses a relational database.
Please, it is not clear how AppLiku is monetized.
What are: 10 Successful deployments per month ???
I believe it means you can deploy a new version 10x per month, so in a case where you are deploying changes daily you'd run out after 10 days.
Did you consider CloudRun and Google Postgres micro instance?
I did not, does that allow for deploying a django app? Have you used it, is it simple to setup?
@@1ManStartup it's a container, so will run whatever you want. Haven't used that yet, using their VMs and Postgres though.
Sir can you check the sound it's not good to hear
It sounds okay to me, maybe the music should have been lowered?
@@1ManStartupi think sound is fine too but music is a bit unnecessary in my opinion but that’s just me
Google needs a competitor analysis tool, looks like they are busy doing it for others 😅
Do you mean google needs to look at their competition or you want a tool made by google so you can look at yours?
