In this video you will get details about parameters of stability studies and explanation about Accelerated stability studies by Arhenious equation. At the end there is explanation about Expiry date calculation.
Shelf life is defined as the time period over which the concentration of the active drug ingredient in the formulation drops by 10 percent from its value at time of manufacture.
Actually there is difference in calculation of drugs and food items. Actually stability Or degradation of drugs and chemicals is solely depend on chemical and physical factors. But in case of food items, the expiry is based on laboratory tests, as the expiry of food item depends on physical factors as well as some biological facors i. e. Enzymatic activities and water content at a certain storage temperature. Each and individual food has its own biological factors. So there is no universal formula, but this is depends on time to time evaluation of food items at different storage temperatures.
It's just luck, I prepared this video yesterday but due to some reasons, uploaded it today, anyways I hope you did well in your exams.. And my best wishes for future..but i will be more happy if it will help you

Self life is the worg,it's the time to reduce initial concentration by 90% not by 10%,
