he certainly brings his electronic technician and a lot of replacement parts with him... IoI Hammond Garanties is out... since Hammond director watched this video...
Great Band, great Musicians. I love the Groove ❤ Long time ago I saw Maceo live when I was a drum student. My first encounter with Jazz and Funk. Amazing!
Jedes Mal Gänsehaut, wenn ich Frank höre.....die B3 - eines der geilsten Instrumente, das jemals gebaut wurde. Jedenfalls, wenn man sie so 'streicheln' kann wie Frank
I remember seeing him a couple of years ago in Luxembourg, there were so few people, but he and the WDR Big Band gave everything they got. It was amazing!
Full concert and better quality here (this song is at minute 46) th-cam.com/video/Ju0Sn0Y3bjA/w-d-xo.html Also another nice recording of this song with singer Thomas Quasthoff and Frank Chastenier (the Organist in this video) on the piano here: th-cam.com/video/EwKUCtrTcrA/w-d-xo.html
Love it but I do have a couple of comments to make. Mr. Parker is from my neck of the woods in North Carolina which is on the east coast of the USA and I met him once. What makes this a little uncomfortable for me, now living in Europe for more years than I lived in the Carolinas is the music stands. Even the organist, who did a fine solo on a Hammond C3, had music on his stand.... no American group has to read music,,, they know it from the heart or improvise it. This concert must have occurred in Germany or the Netherlands, but the big band arrangment would require horn charts. Funny to say, Mr. Parker was in the city where I now live but I could not afford a ticket to see him. I hope he will get back here 12 years later, now that I might be able to afford the entry price. I will never forget that night on the Pamlico river when he was playing with a band he most likely would not want to be identified with, but he was fun, and groovey to have a wee drink with... and to talk about music.
