I’m learning scripture using memory palaces and I’m trying to sharpen my techniques. Using the same palace for different things seems like it would get confusing. But I guess as long as it’s for short lists and you are done with it (long term memory takes over) you could reuse. Could you elaborate on how you kept things in their own lists? Or just general tips on how to reuse? This would actually be great for lists on the fly that I want to remember. I would not have to do as much work because the palace would already be there. I have yet to use my home for any of my memorizations. I didn’t want to be triggered by images as I walked through my house.

My experience is that remembering the first item in the list starts my on the path through that particular list. Even using the same locations over and over, I do not get confused, because my mind naturally moves to the next item in that specific list.
You mind may work differently from mine, but I find I am not triggered by specific locations I walk by at home. Only when I am deliberately trying to remember something do the images really come to mind. I think the locations function as empty spaces, allowing me to engage my spatial memory (which works much more efficiently that abstract memory).
      Good luck!

Thanks. Every mind is different. Definitely have image triggers. I know from places I have already used. But I’m definitely going to try this out-just somewhere besides my house.

I’d be more impressed if he didn’t keep looking off to our left. 😂
