I’m a fresh B777 driver, in fact I’m still on line training and coming from the 787 the only thing I miss is the cockpit design. Apart from that the B777 is an insanely good aircraft to fly. Absolutely love it!
From an aerodynamic perspective, the aft-angled gear bogies and the modest +3-5 degree nose high Vref approach attitude make the 77W one of the best aircraft to land. Lots of induced drag from nose high attitude, slats, and flaps, relatively slow approach speed, and a lot of excess thrust if needed add to the stability. Next time you fly a 77W as a passenger, and if you're on the window seat, notice how the pitch attitude very slightly increases every time a notch of flaps of added, or especially when the gear is lowered. This higher nose attitude allows for a slower speed through that induced drag mentioned above, as well as providing a stable inertial platform through which slight pitch changes are made for smooth landings.

As an Airbus A350 fan, B777 was a masterpiece of aircraft enginnering, what a pure creativity was put by boeing in a plane, resulting in this gigantic twin-engine wide-body, that was one of the most advanced airliner in existence.

I haven't been to La in yrs but in the 80s right by where the In Out burger is located there used to be a mail box service I used to get my mail at, I'd sit out back in a lawn chair & you could see the pilots inside preparing for landing maybe a hundred ft away. It was right there on Sepulveda by airport parking.
I don't like when the plane hangs over the runway for ages, just land for goodness sake. That's why I like the Aeroflot landing. No messing around, straight down.
how did mh370 with a veteran pilot disappeared on March 8th 2014 from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing leaving no trace behind??? Boeing has never released a statement about the last pings
