I needed this! I have been learning for about a year now. I've made all kinds of smaller projects but I keep losing motivation in medium to large projects and spiral into a negative mind set. Just got a Motorcycle, so motorcycle project here I come!

Nice, congratulations! What kind of motorcycle is it? also what kind of project will you be making if I may ask?

@@ApplicableProgramming Honda XR650L, commuting has never made me smile before during and after. I was thinking a single react page with step by step on how to go from no knowledge of motorcycle to picking out beginner friendly bikes with charts and or graphs something desplaying data dynamically but that's all I have in my head so far. Idk if it's enough to get me hired but its small to medium project to Iget me excited again.

these are good tips in general, not just for programming ❤. Cool 😎

@@ApplicableProgramming it has been great. I got Job as Backend Develoeper (Node js), so I stopped learning php. However, I requested you to making these videos which take up a lot of time and effort. So, now just watch so that you can get much needed and deserved views.

@@raku472 That is awesome to hear, congratulations! Thank you for still watching. I have plans to start soon on some JavaScript tutorials, I sort of would like to have more progress on the php course first and then I will do some projects with JavaScript as well (maybe not exactly Node, but... who knows)
Are you happy with the job so far, what kind of apps are you going to work?

@@ApplicableProgramming I am really happy since company is great. They just let me learn and improve. Couldn’t be any better. I am thankful to you as well.

@@raku472 That is what I really appreciate about the company I started to work in now. People are great, but actively encouraging and investing in employees is just a dream come true for me. Usually companies have to "justify" every investment in people, while these guys are usually fine with "I want to learn xyz".
I appreciate you thinking I did something to help you, but I believe you had it all. You just happened to find something on the internet that made it clear for you on what you should do, so... I do appreciate it... but it was all you doing it :)
I've never used nodeJs, but I heard from people who changed from nodejs to Laravel, as they found it more "backend oriented", whatever that means. How do you find nodeJs for backend? Easier then php?

actually when i started programming , i tried .net and java both give me an worst experiance i planned leave programming.

@@kuthub1989 hehe, almost same here. I started because I wanted better job, but then figured out the freedom it gives me (both financially and also to make things I would like). Codeigniter was my first introduction to good OOP principles, I would basically disassemble its functionality and make some modifications to the code. Do you move away from PHP by choice, or because of the company you work in?

@@ApplicableProgramming By choice, I planned to build a SAAS application. initially, I plan to go with laravel but I am afraid PHP frameworks rewrite culture. that's why I am concentrating on Django and React. A new PHP framework called Trongate seems promising, did you aware of this framework?

I have attended 3 interviews I was asked many questions on design patterns and SOLID principles. I am experienced in core PHP. What should I do now.

Good that you ask Akhilesh. What you should do next is purchase my Design Patterns course, and nail it on the next interview :) Just go to www.applicableprogramming.com/ , go over free material and see if this type of course is for you.

@@akhileshkumar-iu9uq There was coupon few months ago when the course launched, but it got sold out in a week or two due to popular demand. I do not think there will be more coupons, as a matter of fact the price will go up in a week or two when I add new modules. For each module I use about 20-30 hours of my time, and I support students while learning, so 39$ for 200-300h of work for videos(once all complete), and a personal support for a course is not that bad I think. I personally payed much more for much less.
Having said that, if you purchase the course now before the price change, you will get the new content for the lifetime of the course. All future modules I add to the course, all practicing material, future e-books, my direct support and all course related things will follow. (the course lifetime is at least a year from your purchase. And if the course has to go offline some day in the future, I will make sure you get all the course material before that).
Please note that my courses are mostly for people who know why they need them (and can get value out of their investment). So before you buy, make sure that this course is actually for you, and that you want to learn it. Otherwise you might just pay for something that you do not need at all, or not get the most value out of. So if you do not think that knowing design patterns will benefit you in programming, or help you get the job, smartest thing is to continue with the free material on the internet, there are a lot of good courses for free.
As you mentioned yourself, this is popular topic on interviews and a bit difficult to learn without a lot of experience. Although this course cannot guarantee you will get a job (not one course can guarantee that), this course will make it easier for you to master design patterns, know when to use them and how, and what their advantages and disadvantages are (as well as which framework out there uses it and how).
39$ is ok investment if it will help you get the job, because you will get that money back from IT job relatively quickly. At the end, we have to invest in ourselves, because if we do not learn new things, someone else will.
