I think the production is intentionally overwhelming. It would have been beneficial to have maybe taken a moment to read the lyrics. Not sure. When they made the choreo video for this they opted to use a moving cam with different angles and a lot of almost nauseating zooming in and out. It isn't something they usually do. However I think it also had to do with the lyrics. It's meant to feel kind of confusing or disturbing. Please continue reacting to seventeen. Everyone has their own preferences. A lot of my favorite songs by seventeen are b-sides. A song that became a fan favorite and group favorite is Our Dawn is Hotter than Day. It has a special video. Anyway it's a favorite. I think it's not as busy. I think. 😊💕💎
Thank you for explaining, didn't realize there was translation when reacting to the song. I will react to more Seventeen songs and see the difference, as well as Our Dawn is Hotter than Day.
To me "Fear" is the definition of my inner struggles. Its complex nature and experimental vibe interests me. You should check out its lyrics because it perfectly describes which it has so much elements !!
i think you should have checked the lyrics/turned on CC to better understand the song while you were checking this. maybe then you could have understood the song better and then intentions of all the sonic information going on. the lyrics, the MV, the melody, the choreo all tie in for what d song is about
I love seventeen they are talented self producing group they write their own songs I recommend you listen to their b sides ( smile flower, kidadult , our dawn is hotter than day)
Thank you for reacting though. FEAR is really overwhelming and suffocating actually and if you know the lyrics it makes you mad. And the performance of it was the best. They perform it with so much emotions that so captivating and leaves you feelings that you cant comprehend. Afterall that's seventeen. That's their identity.
Thank you for the honest reaction. To be fair, this song wasn't such a big hit for them (compared to their previous songs, that is) so most people would probably agree with your assessment. That being said, for those who like it, it's a total cult classic. They wanted to depict a toxic relationship and they really committed to it; everything from the song to the lyrics to the actual performance is made with that purpose. It's meant to evoke this intoxicating and harrowing feeling which is why the song is both overwhelming and alluring with its numerous synths and soft-spoken "silences". Of course, having this knowledge doesn't mean that you have to like the song, but I hope it puts into perspective the polarizing choices they made.
I really love an honest reaction. I hope you listen to seventeen again. This isn’t my favorite song by them but they’re extremely versatile so they have something for everyone
