I'm taking a gamble at uploading this, but whatever. This is also likely to be the last walkthrough that will ever be uploaded to this account, because I'm supposed to get unlimited length back on April 14.
Here's a game I've wanted on TH-cam for a long time. This game was originally just released as "I Spy", but later re-released as this. I played this game a fair amount as a kid, so I decided it would be the time to go and grab another copy of it so I could regain it. I had to do some memorization in order to make this walkthrough clean, and I think I did pretty well.
I actually changed my setup a little bit. I used VMware here and rendered with Vegas. Unfortunately, I've gotten popping sounds when I use VMware, and I don't know a way around it. If anyone knows a solution, please tell me. Here's the level-by-level comments:
Wood Block City: This has always been my favorite area, as hinted by the fact that I know pretty much every single item location here by heart. For some of the objects that have animations, I purposefully skipped them so I could show them at a better angle. Though I do wish I showed a few at a better angle (Like "A man who might fall" on the sixth screen).
Nature: I always thought this was pretty meh, but I don't like nature that much so I'm probably biased. And I really dislike the magnifying glass levels, as I just find them tedious. Aside from forgetting a few object locations, I think it went well.
Craft Projects: Everything went well. I thought this one was pretty fun.
Chalkboard: This one is clever. It's set in a usual classroom chalkboard, and it goes through each of the months, from September to May. I don't expect a board to be exactly as overly elaborate as this, but I still think it's an interesting idea. I did screw up in a few locations, but it mostly went well.
Oops Hoops!: Oh, Venn diagrams... don't we all hate them? This all went okay, but I think it could have been better. I made a few stupid mistakes off of rushing.
Code Breaker: I only showed four puzzles because, let's face it, this game is super repetitive. You really think I'm going to go through every single puzzle?
Balloon Popper: This is my favorite side game. Note that there's two different outcomes, so I did all of the tracks once, then cleared and did them through again.

It's weird, just hearing the sounds of this game makes me SO happy....Takes me right back to when I was a kid, playing this on the 'family computer' (which was Windows 95, lol)

I remember when I was a kid, I enjoyed watching the riddle items with animations without the jingles, that I kept clicking on the item to see the animation again, or if an item has an animation that can't be replayed(Like the Man Wearing Blue), I kept clicking anyways. Aww, sweet nostalgia. Also, have you ever found all three stop signs without changing the angle?

I used to play this when I was young. The other two I Spy CD roms that I had are I Spy Spooky Mansion and I Spy Treasure Hunt.
Isn't that funny? I also had a copy of I Spy School Days which didn't include the Crafts Projects game and I Spy Spooky Mansion when I was growing up. It was for a book order that I placed back in elementary school. Did you donate your game copies to charity after your computer didn't have enough virtual memory to play them? It's not a joke. I'm asking a question in the comment boards.

I dunno, Resulka had her LPs of Magic School Bus games taken down, and I heard one user report that he got one of his videos of some Clifford game taken down as well. I dunno, I'm trying to be safe.
The first time I tried playing this game when I was young, I didn’t understand a lot of stuff. For example “a balloon you can ride”, I thought it was talking about the white balloon at the bottom right corner until I finally realized it really meant the hot air balloon in the background.
Man, I loved this game. I played it all the time when I was little. I don't know what happened to it.
I don't know if Scholastic even cares about these games being on TH-cam at all. I know they're complete trolls when it comes to Magic School Bus and Clifford the Big Red Dog (even the games are a no-no), but I don't know about these games. I did it just to be safe. I recently got three more of these in the mail (Fantasy, Spooky Mansion Deluxe, and Treasure Hunt), and I'll probably record those for World of Longplays so I can live comfortably.
This is actually pretty funny, I ordered a three-pack off Amazon with those games just a few days back.

I loved this game!! Stumbled across this video when I was looking for a title of another 90's pc game I had. Did anyone else have an Eskimo/ Inuit game? It was an adventure/ memory game I think. The only scene I remember clearly was a memory game in which there were holes in the ice and you had to match the under water creatures. There was a narwhal in the scene. This has been driving my sister and I bonkers for months!
1:33:50 the t rex may have caught me off guard the first time i saw it, but now think the t rex is creepy, because of the strange music sound,while its changing color.

I played this CD rom back in 4th grade, but I also used to play it at home.
I used to play this on my grandpa's computer all the time and would dance to the music that played after you solved the riddles. Never found all of those ladybugs though...

Good walkthrough. I remember when my Mom bought me this game back in 2003, along with "The Book of Pooh: A Story Without a Tail." For some new I Spy games (e.g. "I Spy Treasure Hunt," "I Spy Fantasy," "I Spy Mystery," etc), you don't need to do that fair use stuff. Am I correct?
It seems like it's okay because some Scholastic videos uploaded by other people have never been taken down.

Okay, I'm late to this, but...yes, thank you. This happened to me too the first time I tried recording the original. I'm glad to know I wasn't crazy.
Interestingly though, the first time I played this as a kid, "a starfish" on the last Craft Projects picture didn't work for me. That was the only time that ever happened for me though. What's more interesting is that this can ONLY happen on this version, since the original completely lacks that theme. Huh.
It's also weird in "I Spy" that the obstacles in Balloon Popper stay in place even after each riddle is read. In this version, it was fixed. However there is a glitch where when you pick up an object for the first track, your cursor does not stick to it and when the error sound effect plays, it still stays where it is.

The copyright troll I was talking about was Scholastic. They've taken down videos about anything even MENTIONING the Magic School Bus, even if the video itself HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. SlimKirby once got a video taken down for having it as the tagline (in a Simpsons LP, no less), and Resulka had all her LPs of the MSB games taken down. I decided to take the safest way out and put it up here instead of my main.

But, I just found a working windows vista laptop but i cant log in because I don't know the guy's password. My cousin works on computers and is working to reset the vista. I played that once when I was young, I don't remember it very well though. Unfortunately, the only good video of it only plays a third of the game (he thought it was over after the first treasure hunt. There's two more.).
The paper cutting minigame in ultimate I spy for the Wii was annoying

Yes they can, but a webcam is unacceptable. You need a screen recorder in order to do it, and it has to be lossless quality.

I had this game on 💿 ROM. It doesn't have the Crafts scene which is the only problem with this game. I can't play this game on the PC at this moment, because it only requires the administrator's password. It's too ancient for me. I loved it when I was younger. Do you have I Spy Fantasy, I Spy Mystery, I Spy Spooky Mansion, I Spy Fun 🏠 and I Spy Treasure Hunt? You don't have I Spy Junior, either. CEO100able had that one uploaded in a Let's Play mode.
Yours is probably the original, just called "I Spy" with no School Days in the title. I believe this is an updated version of that one. I have Fantasy, Spooky Mansion (which I already made a walkthrough of -- PC Longplay [232] I Spy Spooky Mansion ), and Treasure Hunt, although I've sorta lost interest in these games. Don't know if I'll ever get to walkthroughing them.
+HumongousSoundtracks Oh, I am pretty sure that I did have the original I Spy version which did have 🏫 Days in the title until I donated it to charity as a way to help nurture needy children learn how to solve surreal picture riddles. 1 problem, no scene of Craft Projects wasn't even included when I had a copy of this game on 💿-ROM as part of a book order that I placed at my former elementary 🏫. I am glad to hear that.
I never found the 'Dot for an I' as a kid and it always bugged me.

There was apparently a new I SPY PC game released in 2015 called Pirate Ship. It uses a special Intel camera. I don’t see it for download anywhere, nor can I find any videos of it. If anyone had it, would you please upload a walkthrough to TH-cam? ☮️

The box is a lie, it says "compatible with windows XP" but i could only get it to work one time and then all the other times it gave me an error message saying "your device is too old to run this game" on my 10-year-old windows xp computer. do you know why that's happening?
I don't know because, when I first played the original 2000 release of this game on Windows XP Home Edition back in 2003, it played very well on there.
Gee whiz! I’ve got a feeling that younger schools are also known as daycare, elementary school and preschool/pre-K and that older schools are also called middle schools, high schools and colleges/universities (start and finish school as a child, to a preteen, to a tween, to a teen/teenager to an adult)
Plus younger schools need lots of important things like children/kids/younger/little ones, potty/toilet training, diapering (changing or wearing diapers), the alphabet, younger field trips, recess, toys and younger school classes/subjects including rest/nap time, centers, snack time, story time and others
(Preschool, daycare and elementary)
Except middle and high school
And university/college
That’s why they’re supposed to be younger and older schools and that you have to be doing older kids’ stuff/things which is an age appropriate yes yes and helps you make all things more adult/grown up/mature/age appropriate (do and say what’s more adult)
