😋 that bloody screw... 😁 It was a real duh moment. But that's what happens after a long day and you just want to get something small done. Thank you for your comment! ❤
@@WeWillNomad I’m really enjoying your series of vlogs. Your characters and love shines through. I’ve done it the wrong way round but your trip has inspired us to go through the process of buying a camper for next year. At 59 and my wife at 60 years old enough is enough. It is time to stop living to work, and time to start living to live. I’d love to just sell the lot and go but our circumstances don’t allow it yet. However my parents have left a little something for us, so we are gonna start there and get a second hand camper like you have. ❤️😎

Fine work Andre 😀 we envy your electrical knowledge but we're learning fast as van life is a constant list of repairs! Really informative video and we enjoy your self depreciating humour. As ever we nodded along too - particularly with the 'win' for the bin! Glad Lisa arrived home safely. Looking forward to your journey across Europe in winter approaches!
Thanks! 😋 It helps to have a bit of knowledge of things mechanical and electrical, but it's easy enough to get the answers you need. The real risk is being overconfident!
Aww great upgrade André… you definitely had you’re work cut out!! Well done you managed to tick ✔️ you’re list! 🙏 we missed Lisa … Lol glad you didn’t stop talking 😘
Hello Julle Twee Well done Andre, always nice to accomplish things on your own done with your own hands. At least you know exactly what's been done. Sometimes when you get someone else to do it, you don't know if they've done a good job. Lisa, hope you had a fantastic time with your family and when you review this episode, you'll see Andre's eyes were always very watery......lots of crying for his "liefie"!!!!😂😂😂 Anyways guys, have fun and stay safe. Us mere mortals await your next episode 😉 Stay safe and be Lekker!!!!!
Thanks Roy! It all ended up working out but inevitably there's a few frustrating moments in between. And by this I'm referring to my DIY, not Lisa leaving for a week 😋😂
Thanks. I looked at a number of options and initially I thought a wireless system (like Blink) would be ideal. But the simplicity of a wired system (after fitting) won me over, so I just looked for a well-reviewed 4-channel 'truck' style setup. (You can perhaps consider the Haloview cameras - they're great). Now that the wiring is in place, I can change the cameras if they don't perform or perhaps even fail. But to be honest so far it has worked really well. Night vision is the biggest downfall but that will be the case with most of these systems.
We'll be entering France very soon and we'll probably try to see a bit of Normandy if the weather is good. But alas, no UK visit for us in the immediate future. 😬
Great job André, 👍New gadgets are for men what shoes are for some women 😂 and it is always a satisfaction when problems and problem solutions come together and things work in the end. ☺
Hi Andrew! Where do you want to buy it and register it? With that budget you will find plenty of options in the 2nd hand market. The best range of available options is probably in Germany. But it's difficult to buy and register in your own name unless you have residency. There are a few companies in the Netherlands who specialize in a 'guaranteed buy-back' which is a good option if you want to own a camper for a shorter period like a year or two. They then register the vehicle in the company name and you have a contract with them regarding ownership. That might be something to consider.
Renting for a longer period is not an option as it is really expensive. Many people are also concerned with purchasing their own motorhome and then not being able to sell it at the end of the trip. The guaranteed buy back scheme seems like a good balance between the renting and buying. Effectively it is simply renting at a far reduced price but taking on the responsibility of the vehicle while in your care. I know people who have used www.europe-roadtrip.com/ so best would be to reach out to these guys for more info. However, there are plenty of operators in the Netherlands and best would be to ask on the Overlanding Europe Facebook page regarding opinions on recommendations on specific companies.
Well done Andre. Those jobs would test the patience of a Saint. Good to see Lisa back safe and sound also.
Thanks 👍I definitely would have started acting even stranger thank just talking to myself if she stayed away any longer. 😂
Great job André. The upgrades kept you busy so you didn't miss Lisa too much! What a lovely happy reunion! You two are so special! 🤗
Definitely wasn't the same without Lisa. there. But then again, I would never have created that amount of chaos if she was there! 😂😎
Wow but you are so technically clever Andrè.....love to you and Lisa...& may God protect you both wherever you go.😊😊
Thank you Rosita! One has to learn a lot of new skills when you live in a motorhome! 😊
Oh, very good job Andre!!But we missed Lisa!!
Yes, me too! 😬😂
Nice job on the soldering Andre. Those security camera's are an excellent upgrade. Millie is becoming a Smart motorhome !

Hey Guys
Once you’ve arrived in France will you be both visiting the UK at some stage? ❤

True! Sometimes it just takes a bit longer. And we learn some lessons along the way! 😋

Can I check with you
can I buy a caravan in euro. (Singapore ) my budget €60000 +- .
