@@HumancityJunction N scale F9 Santa Fe engine, a box car and hopper most likely. Think I still have them. Grew up in Amherst. My buddy had a nice HO layout in his basement and was very knowledgeable on train history, layout etc. it was like 12’ x 18’ several sheets of plywood. We would always go down Strong St. to watch CV switch coal for Umass and lumber for Elder lumber on the long siding. We did it so often the guys got to know us and let us ride in the caboose. Eventually the GP9. Back and forth between the two spots until they booted us off before taking off. We were around 12-15. pretty cool thrill for young rail fans.
