imma just say thank you for all this recopilation work, it has helped me a lot with my thesis about the amazing shonen jump, such great videos need more recognition
Sukeban arashi is great, and despite the covers, the MC is depicted surprisingly as quite plain and scruffy, which was interesting. The Guts vs Griffith dynamic between the girls is also entertaining
Off topic but there's some manga panels i don't recognize the series in the background(5:40 top left, the one on the bottom left right of Haikyuu, and then the one right of that, and the one up from that, and the one over that too lol. also the one right of naruto.) Anyone knows these series?
Ohhh in the order you said: The Ichinose Familys deadly sins Do-Retry High School family ?? Nura rise of the yokai clan I think Muhyo and Rouji Mission Yozakura Family
I'm kinda impressed on how many Baseball manga were featured in WSJ... got me curious to read some but the problem is that I don't know anything about Baseball, it's not popular where I'm from. Do you have like... a top 3 Baseball manga recommendation? Doesn't need to be from early WSJ era, can be recent. I mean, which one is the most praised? And there is one that is kinda good in explaining the basics in baseball?
Yeah Baseball is huge in Japan, especially back then and in Jump. I'll be honest though I haven't read that many, and most of the old ones are all untranslated. Not sure about teaching you the rules but "Rookies" is really solid and eases you into the sport by being character focused and about delinquents and a teacher (Think Great teacher onizuka if your familiar with that). It's great though and I definitely recommend

Gutts vs Griffith is such a good way to describe them!
Great history lessons! Thank you for educating us about Shonen Jump's past!
11:23 That "yellow mouse" actually reminds me of the creature from Ranpou/Rampoo. Not sure what it is either.
Your stuff is so so so great! Can’t wait to see more!
Awww thank you so much!! Theres definitely plans for more!
Great work. Im truly enjoy this lookback and traveling through Jump's history. 👍🏾
Thank you, glad your enjoying it just as much as me!! More to come in the future!
This is quite fascinating. Will you eventually release a supercut to watch in one go? Also you earned yourself a sub.
I'm glad you enjoyed! The plan is to hopefully do supercuts for each decade as well as the full history when im eventually caught up
Keep going!
Thank you for your support! Hoping to make many more videos in the future!
Thank you very much
Haha you're welcome! Thank you for commenting

Haha, it has some nudity but it's just a really bad OVA
