After 49 days of meditation, Buddha was said to look noticeably different as he emerged from his meditative state during the stormy season. His newfound understanding of life and the world around him was said to be evident in every aspect of his being. His aura was said to be brighter, he felt full of love and compassion for all living things and he was said to be more connected to his inner Self than ever before. All of these changes were seen not only internally but also externally; the stormy season no longer affected him, as he remained serene and at peace even while the winds and rain raged around him. It was at this point in his life that Buddha began teaching his sacred truths to those who sought him out, and it is said that his words and wisdom are still teachings that are still relevant today.

After Buddha's death, the stormy season was a time of great reflection for the Buddhist believers. During this season, Buddhists would remember Buddha's teachings and the lessons that he had imparted. With Buddhism, the stormy season acted as a reminder to pursue truth and understanding, just as Buddha had done during his lifetime. On a wider level, the stormy season also provided a chance for Buddhists to revive their spiritual practices, so that their lives would be guided by the lessons learnt from Buddha's teachings. The stormy season inspired a renewed sense of groundedness and purpose for the followers of the Buddhist way, as they worked to stay on the path of compassion, non-violence, and peace.

When the news came that Gautama Buddha was about to pass away, the sadness of his family members was unbearable. Gautama was a loved and revered teacher, and his family had stood by him since the very day of his enlightenment. His teachings had spread far and wide and it was hard to imagine a world without him. At the time of his death, not only was his family deeply saddened but the entire world felt a sense of loss. His family were filled with grief, reflecting upon the greatness he had brought to the world without any expectation of reward. His wife, Yasodhara, was heartbroken and overcome with sorrow. She and his five-year-old son, Rahula, were present to witness his last moments as he passed away. His disciples, though in great anguish, followed his last words and continued his teachings with respect and love. The passing away of Gautama Buddha brought great sadness not only to his family members but to the entire world.

Buddha was alive during 563 B.C and 486 BC in India during the Bronze Age. He had witnessed several solar eclipses in his lifetime. It was believed that the sun and moon would bow down in reverence to the princely spiritual master. According to legend, Buddha would often look upon the solar eclipse with meditative admiration. A total solar eclipse occurs when the sun, Earth and moon are perfectly aligned and the moon blocks the sun's light from passing through the Earth's atmosphere. In this type of eclipse, the moon casts a shadow on the Earth's surface and the sky goes dark. During the time of Buddha, solar eclipses were seen as a magical energy to experience. There are several stories of Buddha meditating during these events and thanking the gods for the experience.
