You are the guests in their Country and they the hosts always pay, for the hospitality. Best you can hope for is when and if back in England pay for a meal for A Turk who has become accustomed to the English way, but even then you will struggle, to overcome the ingrained TÜRK man pays, rest assured they will not gossip about you behind your backs after paying, you do not have to worry about that.

The reason I very often refer to the Turkic inclusion, is that very often people think anything related is exclusively Turkish, which is wrong. You will find the same kind of tradition regarding hospitality and many other things in other Turkic countries too. I was trying to say, you will find the same hospitality in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Mongolia and Xinjiang.

I love how Turkey’s cities have different floras because of different climates. When you are in Karadeniz, you will see hazelnuts and tea gardens. 🥜 🌱 🍵 When you are in Mediterranean cities, you will see bananas and citrus fruit trees. 🍊 🍌 🍋 When you are in the center of Turkey, you will see wheat fields, all in golden view till horizon line, it looks fabulous. 🌾 When you are in Bursa (i studied on food engineering there) and north Aegean region, you will see olive trees all over the mountains. And when you are in Thracia (Edirne, Tekirdağ, Kırklareli), you will see sunflowers 🌻 and rice fields. 🍚 My hometown is Edirne and i really love it when sunflowers are in blossom in summer. It attracts many photographers. And when rice fields are full of water in spring, they look like endless pools under the colorful sunset sky. I took great photograps in my grandmother’s village: İpsala, Edirne. I feel so lucky to be born here. This country has many things to offer us and we (citizens) should be greatful for this. I feel sad when more teenagers say “there is nothing to do in Turkey, I want to go to U.S.A. or anywhere” true that our economy is not the best and it is hard for young people to find jobs especially during this pandemic but I also think that our country is so beautiful. People are so helpful. Lands are so vertile and I am happy that I can produce and study on many vegatables and fruits as a food engineer. I am gonna write my master thesis on pumpkins this year. 🎃 I have never visited Blacksea region but I am planning to visit in this summer. Your videos helped me a lot to plan a rota. I also realized again that how beautiful our country was. Thank you very much for sharing us. I wish you healthy and safe journey and power for Trudy. 💕 As far as I saw, Trudy made a great job in these small roads. 😂

I loved to see your video about Giresun .Giresun is the city I was born 55 years ago, but where I only lived for 5 years .Because my parents me and my brother migrated to the Netherlands in 1970. So since then living in Amsterdam as a Dutch Turk.Visit the place almost once a year for a couple of days. As a child almost every summer holiday.Your trip brings memories back of my childhood. Thanks for sharing your road trip.

I really enjoyed this video and watched it with my morning coffee. It looks like a town I would really enjoy visiting. The filming was excellent and someone has great video photography skills! I like that you share how you find out about some of the places you visit. You mentioned trip advisor which I also use and you found that delicious looking bakery from that site. That cat station with food and beds gave me a warm feeling for that area. Looking forward to the next one.

You MUST visit Sinop and eat Sinop Mantisi (a type of manti specific to Sinop) and Nokul. Also visit the historic prison (now a museum) and Hamsilos (the only fjord in Turkey) while you’re there.

Hasankeyf (very historical town along the Tigris River in Batman Province) --- Midyat (centuries-old Hurrian town) --- Mardin (old city for its Artuqid architecture, fascinating alleyways) --- Sanliurfa (birthplace of Abraham) --- Halfeti (village submerged in water) --- Gaziantep (visit the big mosaic museum of Zeugma) --- all the way to Hatay province.

What a wonderful place...I could just move to the waterfront apartment by the Pier at 17:58 in front of that mosque and have chai and cookies or as you put it, 'the inside of Ferero Rocher choolate' at this place 22:24 daily until I die. I am willing to give up at least one kidney to live like that...afterall I do have a pair of them . My little daughters loved the Unicorn at 18:27 and she would like to give you some back. I am originally from Giresun but I borned and raised in Istanbul. So unfortunately I have never visited my homeland. Don't know if it is a proper excuse though. Thank you guys for showing me there.

We Turks use the word “pasta” for” cake” not “dough”.So Fındık pastası is translated as Nuts cake.

Hocam Paste olarak yani Fındık Ezmesi manasında kullanılıyor. Videoda ki onlara eşlik eden benim. Pasta =Makarna onu biliyorum. Karışmasın diye özellikle Paste yani Fındık Ezmesi veya Fıstık ezmesi hatta Domates salçası gibi ürünler için kullanılan kelime olan Paste kullandım çevirirken 🙏. Ama okunuşta nüans olarak yakın olduğu için yanlış anlaşılmaya sebep olabiliyor. Hassasiyet için teşekkür ederim. 🙏

I really enjoyed this video and watched it with my morning coffee. It looks like a town I would really enjoy visiting. The filming was excellent and someone has great video photography skills! I like that you share how you find out about some of the places you visit. You mentioned trip advisor which I also use and you found that delicious looking bakery from that site. That cat station with food and beds gave me a warm feeling for that area.

You MUST visit Sinop and eat Sinop Mantisi (a type of manti specific to Sinop) and Nokul. Also visit the historic prison (now a museum) and Hamsilos (the only fjord in Turkey) while you’re there.

I'm done watching all your Turkey vlogs, fantastic! You should really definitely have to explore the southeastern region, too amazing for description. Hasankeyf (very historical town along the Tigris River in Batman Province) --- Midyat (centuries-old Hurrian town) --- Mardin (old city for its Artuqid architecture, fascinating alleyways) --- Sanliurfa (birthplace of Abraham) --- Halfeti (village submerged in water) --- Gaziantep (visit the big mosaic museum of Zeugma) --- all the way to Hatay province.
Fantastic !! yes these places are on the list and we will be endeavouring to complete that list !! there is the whole of the Central America adventure from last year to complete now in between the Turkish episodes plus the odd live chat too !! woo hoo !! kind regards Marianne !! I was actually waiting for Safranbolu and Amasra as I've seen in Polarsteps app that you went there. Oh, I so love Amasra - one of those places that tourists do not go. I remember staying in a pension house there near the waters. Safranbolu on the other hand gave me the vampire village vibe HA HA perhaps bcuz it was winter when I was there and those ottoman wooden mansions, a lot of them seemed to be no occupants, a bit creepy at night. HA HA

What a wonderful place...I could just move to the waterfront apartment by the Pier at 17:58 in front of that mosque and have chai and cookies or as you put it, 'the inside of Ferero Rocher choolate' at this place 22:24 daily until I die. I am willing to give up at least one kidney to live like that...afterall I do have a pair of them . My little daughters loved the Unicorn at 18:27 and she would like to give you some back.
