The link will now take you to the CLI service. After you click his link and the site is loaded, on the left you need to now go to *Power Platform CLI* then *What is Power Platform CLI* then click *Install Power Platform CLI for Windows* .Once powerapps-cli has been downloaded and installed you can then launch PowerShell ISE in windows, then you can type *pac tool cmt* to get you to the common data service configuration migration tool, from that point on it should line up with his video. It appears each time to run it, we now have to go *pac tool cmt* in PowerShell ISE to bring up the tool
Created On column take the date time when you are importing It not restoring (Copy) the source table datetime. Source: {Creed ~7/26/2022 11:23} Destination {Creed ~7/26/2022 11:30} Is their any way to get the datetime from the source table
I found this tool recently. We have a task to migrate everything to brand new environment. I'm afraid in real scenario everything will be more tricky because of different users and currencies or other possible differences. I'll see soon))
Hi @Brian, your video has been a life saver. After importing data using the the cmt, will it overwrite all the existing data with additional ones added or migrate everything on top which causes duplicates?
thanks for this video, i have a question please : can we filter the data to export ? i have a table that has millions of records and all i need is to export a sample. many thanks
Hello and Thank you! I followed the link but what I see to copy and paste doesn't match what shows on your screen and nothing happens to the folder I created. No errors no confirmations. Any thoughts?
Unfortunately, you'd have to check of the related tables to get them and it would not be selective about what records it pulled in those tables. --Brian
I see the created on field gets updated to the time of the import. Is there a way to preserve the values of the created on field when migrating a table?
Thanks Brian - does this also migrate relational data also? Let's say in 1 table I have a record which is linked with other 4 tables different records - does it take care of it also?
Hello, apparently a very efficient tool, however it was creating a mess with currency figures containing comma for decimal. It was buggy in this case, and Microsoft support never found a solution. … they said « it was designed for D365 not powerapps ». After weeks of wrestling the workaround was using Dataflow which is less easy to manage relationships and dataflows can’t be exported
how do you export a dataverse enviroment to an other default dataverse envioroment with tables with relationsships and lookup? This is realy a pain in a male arse, i gues gay people would be more suitable for this job, it is so frustrating.
@@satish8299 I hope it's nothing about gay. you might find better explaination on youtube. But here is the idea. Go in your target environment, outside solution, default level, Dataverse/Dataflow, then create a dataflow to load your data from your source, prod for example, the rest is powerquery component behavior, then continue with the column mapping, and refresh. Bear in mind to define foreign key for each table first, ... You also might have to unfold some folded columns to enable dataflow to complete the data mapping This is how I move all my prod dataset into test environment. Very efficient, can be refreshed in ine click, and it provides you with a nice detailed log
Very simple example but completely usefull. Thanks a lot!
Good one Brian. Just migrated to new Sandbox & Production environments ;) Abou 30 mins for 10k + records / 17 tables
Hi Brian. The link you provided in the subscription takes you to a different location these days. Would you mind updating the link to the tool? Thanks

Thanks for this. The rate at which they move things around on the power platform is incredible.
I did not get the path. It might have changed again, is it ?

Within the same tenant I think it works seamlessly. Tenant to external tenant is a different matter! 🙂
i cannot find the tool. how do i install this? the site where the download commands should stand are gone? LOL
Thanks for this. Is there a way to change the target table name? I need that bad. I also need to keep the ids the same if possible.
How to import/export forms and views along with those tables ? Thanks.

Hi, Im encountering problem with User LookUp column, user data is not being loaded to the imported enviroment. Can you please help.

There is a "Record Created On" field specifically meant for that. It is available for all entities.
can you provide me video when you can migrate solution from one environment to another environment which contain data verse table ?
Thanks for the video! Do you have any content for customizing an embedded Power BI report’s controls?
Thanks Brian - does this also migrate relational data also? Let's say in 1 table I have a record which is linked with other 4 tables different records - does it take care of it also?
Yes, if you check tables like a parent-child set of tables, it will take care of those relationships also. Thanks!

Does this utility reserves the date-time column values? If not, how can we handle this?
First convert those Table columns to Text?
