This pada varnam by Padmabhushan Lalgudi Sri Jayaraman brilliantly portrays Krishna bhakti through several devotional elements. With rich lyrical splendor and highlighting the nuances of the Charukeshi ragam from the get-go, this composition depicts the various spiritual manifestations of Krishna through the sahithyams of the chittaswaram, replete with deep emotions. The charanam is very special and catchy with a description of the beautiful Krishna who is playing the flute and calling Him out to mitigate life’s shortcomings and miseries. The last chittaswaram highlights the omnipresence of Krishna through melodious expressions opulent with rhyming lyrical beauty.
