I was at this Montmartre gig in 1986, it was the first time I'd seen them live - massive thanks to Lilindia on Bluesky for highlighting this is here. My Christmas is absolutely made! xxx
I wish my memory was better. I vaguely recall an unreleased instrumental track being played when I saw CT at the Town & Country later during the November of this tour, so I’m guessing it would have been this. And I *think* Elizabeth stayed on stage at the mic, doing the hitting her body stuff and just watching Robin & Simon play. Or am I constructing false memories from these new releases? Whatever, it’s such a joy to hear these, and especially something unreleased that I haven’t heard in nearly four decades (if at all).
oh! I had a really old bootleg casette that has this track on it! From the same tour, but not this specific show - cant recall which show now though tbh, sadly the casette's long gone. But this is MUCH better quality than the wobbly, thrice-copied walkman recording I cherished back in the late 80s. Thankyou!
I follow them ever since the beginning and this is something really awsome to hear these recordings with this quality. How many more treasures are hidden from us?
There are bits throughout that have echoes of other tracks from both before and after this period. It’d be interesting to try and track them down. Even though this is pre BBK I feel there are hints of the turn they would take on HOLV, especially towards the end, but the most specific thing that struck me was a guitar figure that sounds similar to ‘From the Flagstones’ at around 2:11-2:17.

Anyone made upload this track?? please let me know...
Brasil tour?
My guess is the PA was a local one and I had nothing to record the show on. We did Rio, Sao Paolo and then flew to Argentina.
Doing the math, that's at least 10 different shows you've shared, I still can't believe it. 🥹🥹🥹🥹
