Hey there, I had to comment on the infectious enjoy you bring to your videos. Not only are they interesting and helpful for the environment, but your smile and love for treasure is contagious. Not often can you find a humble, caring guy that is so damn attractive. Keep up the great adventures; I don't even fish but can't stop watching. _ a lady fan from Michigan
The sardines are for the fishermen lol,my hubby loves them! You used to have to pay for your pop plus a deposit. Return it and you got your deposit back. Kids used to go around with their wagons picking up bottles and returning them to have money..
In maine you still get .05 cents back for every bottle and can you return, but you also have to pay a .05 deposit on every bottle and can you buy. A 12 pack cost an extra .60 cents when you buy it.
Just satin,ya boy thumbs up,watches, and comments on every single video you put out. Yo boy could also really use that kayak anchor lol lmk my dude ! An keep the vids rolling !
Tell the truth Brando. You did not let that fish go. You transported it home on the back of that fire truck, and cooked up a romantic candle lit dinner for two :-)
You used to be able to bring glass bottles back to the shops and they would give you money back and they would send them back to companies like coke to reuse them
Here in Canada, once you return the bottles/cans you get 5-20 cents per each one that you bring in depending what type(alcoholic/non alcoholic) and how big it is (up to 1L, and over 1L). I never knew that in the states its not the same. Anyways, good video Brandon! Can't wait for the next one, keep up the good work!
They still do deposit on cans and bottles in a few States. I know in Oregon they give you 10¢ per can.... They also charge you an extra 10¢ for every one you buy new
Bottle deposit system is still a thing here in mass. 5 cents for every can/bottle. They charge you the 5 cents when buying the drink and give it back when u go to the bottle return. Just a way to add an incentive to recycling
Hey Brandon, I know this is a really old video, but back in the day we were charged an extra $.5 for every can and bottle purchased. If you returned the bottle to a place that sold can and bottle products, they would give you $.5 for every can or bottle that you returned. The reason that you don't see bottles and cans like that often is because people would save them rather than discard them into our environment. It worked really well! It's too bad that they did away with that program!
back in 50's thru the early 70's they reused the bottles so you paid a deposit to take the bottle with you. any where from 5 cents to 15 cents and then came alum cans
6:08 return for deposit you used to return those bottles for a deposit of $ .10 cents per bottle in the 70"s and 80"s be for they came out with plastic bottles

Banquet beer was actually the nickname for Coors beer. It was usually drank by canyon miners. So they were literally "getting their hands dirty".
The sardines are for the fishermen lol,my hubby loves them! You used to have to pay for your pop plus a deposit. Return it and you got your deposit back. Kids used to go around with their wagons picking up bottles and returning them to have money..

Return for deposit was still done in the early 80's. They reused the bottles so they give you a few cents for returning them.

In MI, anything carbonated has a 10 cent deposit on it. Buy pop/beer get 10 cents per can lol
Jordan looks so much like the younger version of Matthew Fox from Lost.
What do you do with all the stuff you find? What is your best and most expensive find?
you can still by old style glass bottle sodas by the case and the store requires a deposit on the case to encourage you to return the bottles +Jiggin' With Jordan
