The government needs to reign in insane tuition being charged to physicians and dentists. The average dental school debt is $400+k and interest accrues from day 1. Even pausing interest while in school would save students $75k+.
That is not wanted. The tuition and interests are a whole industry, making super rich people even richer. I guess they hate this old lady for doing this trick. It will be free tuition for much more students for much longer. If you put 1billion dollars in a high yield savings account that accrues interest monthly, assuming 4.5% interest. It will create an additional 45 million dollars each month, and interest will compound. It will quickly grow, if their half smart it will last forever.
Imagine the positive follow-on effects on humanity of this one act of kindness. Imagine how many students who would have dropped out due to finances, now won't. How many students, who otherwise would never go, now can. Imagine the research they will do in the coming decades, the discoveries they'll make, the people they will heal and inspire.
