Good video review. Only one question. Why does only Slingfin (the maker of this tent) mention the inside tensioning guy lines? I own one of these tents and this patented unique feature along with the exterior guy line set up really makes this tent like a rock in gale force winds.
Thanks for the comment. Are you referring to the two guy lines found on the interior of the tent and opposite of the door? Or, are you referring to the tensioning devices sewn into the fabric near the exterior corners? I'm intrigued by your comment and want to ensure that I didn't miss something on my own! Thank you. - Forest
That tent I believe is called the Hot Box in Sling Fin form. They briefly cover the interior guy lines with that tent video on their You Tube channel. The patented system is in pretty much all the many models of tents Sling Fin makes. In this video for the Portal model, Tim goes into depth explaining the design, use and importance of the interior guy line system, and how it connects to the exterior truss system Go to 6:32 for this explanation: th-cam.com/video/g7CllBQsAh0/w-d-xo.html Take care, and enjoy your tent- Denis.
@@BiznessWizard Thank you, Denis. This is very useful knowledge to have for inclement weather. Your explanation and providing the link are truly top notch. Appreciate ya! - Forest
Love the review, excellent job! You’ve sold me as I want to upgrade to this tent.
Just curious, what boots/shoes are you wearing during the review?
Excellent review. Good gear is worth its weight in gold.
Thanks Craig! We appreciate the support, and completely agree.
