I have always felt the 250 was the funner and better overall bike than the 450, so this is right up my alley. While I have been a loyal Yamaha 250F guy since 2003, I really think this one here would be my pick now.
Worth moving from 23' FC-350 for this.. simply just based on chassis and turning? Love my 350, just have not been able to get used to the jarring aspect.
This bike is great really thinking about trying and buying one this crf250r we if i dont go crf450r. But honestly the new Beta 450rx are reallllly growing one me especially when the 2025 beta 450rx get here will probably be better than the 24 model. And the beta 450rx benny bloss replica with the fmf and other trick things is awesome really thinking about a beta 450 idk why just growing on me lately be kinda cool.
Curious if anyone has attempted to fit a works edition hydro onto a stock bike yet. Looked at the ignition cover and clutch parts when this thing came out, comparing all the parts to the non works edition model it seems like it would fit together. Ignition covers have similar part numbers and look to be of a very similar build.
the different magazine sites dont want to include this bike in the shootout. what happens if it sells so good honda decides in the future this is the only crf250r they offer, will they leave honda out of the shootout altogether? just don't make sense not to including a production bike in the shootout
It’s a limited production model and even Honda was hesitant about including it in shootout. If this was the regular production bike available in regular Production numbers we’d all use it in shootout.
Off the subject, but I see you’re wearing fox boots. I have a lack of feel and ankle flex with Tech 10s and 7s. I’ve heard the Fox 2.0 is shorter in length as well (1/2 inch on the toe). Why do you choose to run Fox boots?
The instincts 100% allow for more movement but Tech 10's do have more of a solid feel but don't allow the ankle to glex at all. I prefer instincts for enduro but use my tech 10's for mx as a personal preference but still never felt unsafe or had an issue using instincts for mx
@@CB3Motorsportsi know there was reads that said it came with a hinson basket or cover, but it seems that is not true anymore or else they would be talking about it in these new videos today.

@@vitalmxon Rocky mtn I priced it out it’s about $600 to add the clutch. Problem is you really can’t even buy one of these unless you have your name on one like six months ago. Great off the bottom - mid but why won't it rev like the KTM sxf 250 it would be a complete bike, line this model up against the ama factory bikes and realize how slow it is
remember a few yrs back when Kawi 250's went to finger follower valve train like KTM already had? they raised the bikes peak RPM by 1600 and it then made more HP than KTM. Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki still have the old school valve train design. it's why they don't peak as high and why they will never make top HP numbers. but both Honda and Yammer know that the real world likes low-end power on a 250. so they are taking that loss in HP believing we will be just as fast on most tracks. for 90% of us it works out that way, unless you're a pro or race on a sand track with huge hills.
The 250RWE comes with a FULL titanium RS-12 exhaust. The 450RWE will come with a stainless steel header and titanium RS-12 muffler
Thanks! Even better….
When I watched the video and saw the coloring, I thought, I've never seen stainless look like that before :)
Probably worth it. That system alone is over 1K
Honda gave us the wrong info, doh.
Do you know by any chance how much decibels the rs12 gets on the 250? Cause in france they are very strict cant go over 114db
Only $200 more than the KTM 250sxf and $100 more than the Husky FC250 which are the most expensive bikes in the class. I say that's 100% worth it!
💯…I have a husky woods bike and now I really want this one for the track!!
Just with the exhaust system & the coating on the forks & shocks you're way over 2000$, for 10K it's a really good deal 👌🏻
Epic review, you really answered and explained all the questions that I as a weekend warrior would have!

Live in Southern California and this bike is super hard to find. Finally found one!.
This is best works edition bike ever made. 250s benefits from these changes way more than 450s do
Can definitely look at the header and tell it’s Ti.
Good review, really wish previous model 250’s came with a hydro clutch.
Best looking 250 this year 😩
I'm assuming that you could put the hydraulic clutch on the standard bike provided you bought the ignition cover as well as the hydro package?
Definitely, but the parts pricing would probably be half the difference to the WE
I’ll probably get one of these on the last year of this generation as I’ve already bought a 2023 or a Honda 350. Which ever comes first.
I want one and don't even ride anymore 🤣😭
2025 Honda CRF250R nice bike thanks for brilliant review videos class👍🇬🇧
Thanx ML 👊✌️
Its worth it. Only the Yoshi system alone is 1,600.

@@Nelsonrockafeller23 - At least the 22' GasGas has the previous Gen frame.
Have you tried a suspension upgrade?
What about the Hinson clutch?
Supposedly comes with a Hinson basket
450 i think, not the 250
@@Someone-ob1gr Honda put a video out saying the 250 did also
Ok torn between this or the yzf250 jam novice rider never rode either bike, normally ride rmz 250
Is it good for trail riding? No hurry relaxed style ?
Good review. With the 110 tire is the rear rim also wider than the stocker rim
2.15 rim

Maybe my new 4T MX bike, but next year…🤙🏻
Sweet, but is it just me or black rims become a bit "boring" i miss the good ol silver.
How does racing limited class work with bikes like this?

Most likely because he’s sponsored by FOX? I’ve heard their boots are trash. On a different note, try them new Gaerne SG22s. That’s the way to go…
fox boots =garbage. he probably wears them becuase he gets them for free

Forgot to tell them that a spark plug costs $ 35.00
That’s normal price
Do they have the Hinson clutch and basket like the 450we’s?
No, stock clutch.
So does the 250 WE not have the hinson clutch basket? I see it's also missing the hinson clutch cover.
Nobody is saying it comes with anything hinson any more so I think not.

So you can’t buy the clutch and put on regular 250r
You'd have to buy the ignition cover from the Works Edition as well, along with the push rod for the clutch.
