Best to go sit in it or mock it up for good fit. There are other variables besides size. Search my videos on this channel for the one on picking a chest freezer.
Hi, thank you for the tips and advice. I just bought a $999 frigidaire 24.9 cubic foot for cold baths. (Plan to use as hot tub in winter w/ solar panels and electric heaters). Put in a liner and I used ice to get it down to 60degrees F. But after two days, it won't cool the water, just seems to maintain the temp. I'm considering returning the freezer. Thoughts? Thanks.
First thought is that chest freezers do not make good hot tubs. There are a few ways that I help people. You can join my FB group free. facebook.com/groups/chestfreezercoldplunge Otherwise, there could be a number of reasons why it isn't cooling, and I really can't effectively troubleshoot over comments in the comments of a YT video. The video shows you how to find a chest freezer that fits you. If you can't find one that fits, you can buy a large stock tank and either use the chest freezer to make ice or buy a chiller to keep the water cold.
