What book would you recommend for ppl like me, that have been out of school for over 20 years, has had a brain injury and a mini stroke? I appreciate you and your knowledge!
First, sorry to hear about your brain injury and mini stroke. I hope that you're doing alright now. I typically recommend a general GED textbook like Kaplan or Princeton Review that covers all 4 subjects. Either company will work fine. For the RLA section, I recommend trying to read the lessons in the book and practice answering the questions at the end of each lesson. The more you do this, the better you'll get at it. Also, just reading as much as you can is helpful, whether it's newspapers, magazines, articles on the internet, or books. Just making some time to read every day or most days will help over time as well. Good luck and thanks for watching!
The story shown in the video is pretty crazy isn't it I mean the position of Mr button was pretty wacky. But i will say that this video helped with my reading comp quite a lot thanks Parker for your interesting videos and cool stories.
I’m not good with inferences from reading passages at all, tent to want the person to really think outside the box. I tent to really force on the content that’s in the passages and or reading provided. Do you have any tips for practice?
Hi, thanks for watching and for your question! One major difference is that you'll have full passages to read and search through to find the answers on the real test, whereas I only show smaller bits of text for the questions in this video. You'll also have the timer on the test, which can make it more challenging. If possible for you, I recommend taking at least one GED Ready RLA practice test. These tests by the GED testing service should be the most similar in difficulty to the real GED exam.
