- The Brainwavz Replacement Memory Foam Earpads are an awesome pair of earpads to put on your over-ear headphones! I'm not sure which models will fit but I do know that these earpads work well with the Audio Technica ATH-M50x's. Highly recommended!

it changes so much, not a little. more sibilance, less bass. better use warm dac if you want to use brainwavz earpad for m50
any other options? that don't affect the sound?
@@refugioflores2226 I know this was a while back, but I just ordered some pads from Wicked Cushions after reading dozens of reviews about the new pads not taking a shit on your M50x's sound.
Ordered mine from eBay as I'm in the UK and they're US based.
@@chriscestero Are the wicked ones good? Do they alter the sound?
@@timbychik7658 Hey there, they did a bit but I’d say for the better - as the pads are wider, you have more distance between your ear and the driver giving a far more open soundstage. The rest of the sound is very similar which is ideal. I’d say the cushions are far more comfortable as well 👍
@@chriscestero I returned the Brainwavz. They sound like and echo chamber and the bass gets killed. Treble is too harsh. Do the wicked ones sound similar?
Great details . Crispy video quality . You are great man : )
Thanks a lot! :)
Thankyou for the comparison shot, I've been googling all over and apparently it never occurred to most people to hold the pads side by side and truly demonstrate the difference in scale. This video put my fears to rest that the HM5's I have on order might not be much bigger in terms of ear space, as most separate images don't really show the scale proper.
seriously considering these, i need to know how different the sound is before and after you change the earpad to this one
I got those today, compared to my beat up almost flat original earpads, it sounds a bit bassier
After 4 years of use, my pads have started flaking away definitely gonna pick these up! Cheers
looking at the reviews, people are complaining these replacements shed after 3 months
Came here from your averageconsumer. Great video man!!!!
Thanks a lot! :)
Just got mine today! Sounds great feel good but heads up, they are very big!! They look a bit silly compared to the stock size. I am now searching for a smaller set.
Very good review, just decided to purchase these along with my m40x due to a history of being sensitive to what earpads I have.
Thank you very much! I'm glad you found this video helpful. :)
I would recommend the angled pads over these straight ones - they change the sound less and are arguably a bit more comfortable.
Oh okay, thank you! :)
is it worth it? I bought both the m50xPB and angled brainwave earpads. Now all the reviews I'm reading about says the earpads(straight ones) change the sounds way too much.
Should I be worried?
@@TheEnabler-WXR pretty much the sound gets changed completely which is why i’m hella pissed, i bought some and the bass literally disappeared. There’s on brand out there that claims to sell some that don’t change the sound too much, they even include frequency response graphs to “prove it”. but they’re like $50...
Tried them... Destroyed the sound. Try the Shure HPAEC840. Bigger, but sound stays the same.
Yep. I returned the Brainwavz the day I got them. Got the Shures WAY better sound quality.
how does it hold up right now? beycinema?
the sound changes too much.
What is the different between this one and the stock earpads in terms of sound
Not much to be honest, I think just a tiny bit of bass and highs get distorted just a little bit, but you get used to it quickly. Thanks for watching!
@Castiel Arc7 How can a pad add an echo effect...
does it fit to jbl e65btnc?
Will thoose fit on sony mdr zx770bn?
A little?
hey did those replacement ear pads crack and fall apart also after a long use ?
Will they fit for the Sennheiser PXC 550
Are they blue or purple?
they are purple!
i bought one on lazada for rm 40 lets hope it aint a fake while i wait
so how are they fake do you have a link
overpriced
have you ever dropped your m50x quite hard on carpet? and what happened?
Nothing happened
The carpet exploded!
Will that fit on an ath m40x?
It should bro. I ordered an m40x and these.
@@DarealJosh.n26 I bought it as well, im confirming that it fits👌 Thanks
It'll fit on the M20's, 30s, 40s, and 50s.
@@DarealJosh.n26 Does it sound good with both? m40x and these? Are they worth it?
@@anthonyreis3533 not much change in sound rather than a wider sound stage.
m40x are better than m50x just sayin
nope.
in what world?
Not in this world...
