say It is Graphically only, the arrow shows the nature whether it is compressive or tensile!! No need of calculation

Gursahaj Kohli hello! its easy first of all show the arrows towards the joints and see at the end of the sum that the arrow moving outwards are tensile and vica-versa! i hope do u understand (ask again if u dont) #sorryForReplyingLate

Tushar Bora Just remember one thing horizontal member are in tension { because of tension induced in it } and other are compressive! Here SR is horizontal ;)
