I disagree, I followed his all his fights ever since he lost to Geroge Groves. I think Degale has over achieved due to good management. He is an all rounder boxing, nothing special.

Degale clearly won, the person who didnt know a lot about boxing thought bute won or a least a draw, argued against a loss cause and decided to delete his post eventually :) Degale is very slick and showed tremendous class by making a first defence of his title in bute's backyard.
sometimes as a prizefighter you need that cocky arrogance I realize degales not everyone's cup of tea but theirs no denying he's one of the most improved fighters in the world and a loyal guy he's been with his trainer from the beginning that speaks volumes about his character.
Lucian's championship days may be behind him, but he can still make a good fight. He still has heart. A terrific effort by both fighters. Not a bad fight at all.

I remember watching this fight on Sky. The US commentators give Degale much more credit than whoever it was on Sky. DeGale never really got a lot of praise from UK commentators. This was a good performance in Bute's home city and a very good fight.

I had it 116-112 in favour of James DeGale. Great effort from Bute though, considering he was already clearly past his prime and he faced someone who was in his (and also a better boxer).
