    Thanks so much for the helpful video! Just tried to make my first decal today and weeding was much trickier than I expected!

      You are welcome. I know, it can be. The more detailed, the trickier. I also make sure to shine a light directly on top and be sure to start with the smaller negative pieces.

    Just got into this and love it. Having a hard time pealing it after it’s cut. I’m always screwing up my projects. Thanks for the tip.

      Try setting it to more pressure when cutting.

    Need to know best cutting setting for maker 3 as I ruined several designs with small letters with Oracal 651

    What pressure do you recommend using for the 651 matte on a Cricut Maker? My letters keep getting peeled off.

    • @createdbymo4u
      @createdbymo4u  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can always try to use "less pressure" option in your settings or just use the "vinyl" material.

    Thank you for the tutorial. I am having some issues never used Oracal brand before. Questions: How to use the Cricut Maker to cut Oracal 651 Permanent vinyl mine didn’t cut it. Was it because should be a different setting than other vinyls, which way should be placed on the mat to make a stencil for screen printing. Help :)

      Use the Premium Vinyl Setting on Cricut Maker or Vinyl Setting on Maker 3 - both with more pressure and it should cut fine.

    • @madeinLA19
      @madeinLA19 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had the same issue and had better luck when I changed my setting from premium vinyl to just "vinyl" on my Cricut maker

    • @createdbymo4u
      @createdbymo4u  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching! For iron on its shiny side down and mirror on. For cuts that are applied with transfer sheets, let’s say onto mugs, glasses, frames, and non-iron on etc., the shiny side would face up and towards you. I hope this helps...happy crafting!

      Hi Erick... I have a Maker and I use the Premium Outdoor Vinyl setting... Or the Premium Vinyl. Hope that helps.

    I've only used this vinyl once and the backing is very papery not slick so peeling it from the matt after its done cutting is a disaster. Like ripped paper stuck all to my mat (like the residue left behind after taking a barcode sticker off something) and everytime I try to Google it I seem to be the only one having this issue?? If it's a quick cut and peel it off immediately its not to bad but if I leave it on the mat to weed it peeling the backing from the mat is terrible trying to clean the mat afterwards.. any ideas? Suggestions?

    • @createdbymo4u
      @createdbymo4u  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow.. haven't heard this before. Are you leaving it on your cutting mat or the v release paper you mean? Can you take it off the cutting mat and just leave it like that? Or pull off the negative while on the cutting mat?

    What material settings do you use? Have a brand new Cricut maker three and cannot get consistent. Clean cuts. Would welcome any suggestions.

    • @createdbymo4u
      @createdbymo4u  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there .. For htv I use the everyday iron vinyl and more pressure. For other vinyl that isn't thick or glossy or glitter I'm now using just the standard vinyl settings. It really depends on the material you are using really though. Did you calibrate your machine? That also helps and make sure you are fully up to date with Cricut network updates.

      @@spunkybear1597 oh ok.. Yes definitely try vinyl settings. I know someone tried "washi" setting but I have not. Cut a small piece and add circles and squares to test cutting settings. It may take a few tries but each machine setting can vary a bit.

    Great video... What setting did you use on your Cricut for the Oracal? I just discovered it... so much more affordable than ...Cricut vinyl!

    • @createdbymo4u

      Thank you!! I use the default when I have a new blade, but "more pressure" when the blade gets older. And I use Premium Vinyl or outdoor vinyl. It really cuts well!!

    • @createdbymo4u
      @createdbymo4u  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Lady S! I have a Cricut Maker and I select Premium Vinyl mostly, and Outdoor Vinyl to cut this. If you have a another machine, just use Custom and try those options. Of course if you have an older blade, you might need to use "more pressure" after selecting material. Happy Cutting!
