  • We take our vintage Honda CB350 for its first ride since putting it back together. This motorcycle was completely disassembled when I got it,
    Plus performance test of the Mikuni VM28 carb upgrade. I like this motorcycle and LOVE what this kit from speedmotoco.com does for it.

      It takes some fine tuning. I was happy with it. Thanks for watching.

    Honda really made a great mid engine bike when they built this. People like the 4 pot but the simplicity and ultra reliable twin is better IMO. Around town. Country B roads, commuting to work. It's one of them bikes were you throw your jacket & lid on and just go. No race leathers. Race bots & gloves. Just a user friendly bike for anyone..I see honda are bringing it back to life.

    In 1976 I had a used CL350 with Hooker Headers. It was way too loud but the engine sounded great to me at the time. Now I like them quieter but still love the sound. It was the most fun I ever had on a bike.

      The CL350 is one of my favorite bikes. Loads of fun, great riding position and incredibly capable. I think I may need to fin another one. Thanks for watching.

    I've enjoyed watching your Cb350 videos. I've got one, just wish it wasn't so loud. Seems to vibrate the pegs more than I'd like too.

    I really miss my 75 CB 350. This bike reminds of it.Mine was gold with cocktail shaker mufflers.

    That's funny I also lost cylinder #2 and didn't even realize because I just got the bike. Then it started breaking up on cyl #1. I got points and a new set of coils on the way, cyl #2 has no spark and the coils are super old. The points were set wrong and firing on the timing mark, I also need to check the timing advance mechanism. Would be sweet to get a se of those carbs too but I don't have $400 right now haha It's an 1970 sl350 cafe racer and my second motorcycle that's not a dirtbike. First was a naked 1981 gl1100 cafe style that I rebuilt about 5 or 6 years ago and should have never sold it. The guy who bought it didn't know how to check the oil and hydro-locked the motor putting 4 quarts in it. Sad day haha

    • @motorcyclerewind
      @motorcyclerewind  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You're on the right track. Also make sure your idle screws are set the same and the cable adjusters. Do what you can to make sure your carbs synced.
      Speaking of hydro-locked check out my video about an abandoned Kawasaki GPZ1100 that had nearly 4 gallons of liquid in the case. th-cam.com/video/wvuWm09Jl3c/w-d-xo.html

      @@motorcyclerewind Exactly what I'm gonna do, once the coils get here I'll go over everything as I didn't realize until literally yesterday #2 was dead hahahaha. Will definitely watch the video you linked! Subscribed too, I want to start my venture of restoring some bikes to sell not just for myself to burn a hole in my pocket hahaha

    Did you know the cable router in the middle of handle bars is there for a reason... I had an issue with after-market cable being too short and would accelerate the engine while turning because it was routed wrong...

    How did you get the air filters to fit on the mikuni carbs? i bought the same kit from speedmotoco and I dont have enough room to mount the air cleaners due to the intake boots not being angled outward like the originals.

    • @motorcyclerewind
      @motorcyclerewind  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I modified the Uni foam air cleaner to make it fit. Or you can contact them and have them send you the angled intakes.
      Thanks for watching.
